yaddle goes on a rampage after finding out yoda's dead. it's reveal that snoke and rey are both jar-jar's children. the only character that's still alive at the end is lumpy.

Have they planned anything after Episode IX for the main timeline?

With the rumored title of Episode VIII (The Fall of the Resistance), and the possibility of Episodes X-XII and beyond, it would make sense if they did away with the whole Empire vs Rebels thing.  I think that would get stale pretty quickly (if not already).  I couldn't imagine 5 more movies of the empire does something, and the rebels must stop it.

But I certainly don't know what form something new would take.

Would be interesting if they did one that focused on the criminal underworld.

For one of the spin-offs, yes, but I'm wondering about the main story-line.

'Star Wars Episode IX' Release Date Confirmed For February 29th, 2019

If they had put the release date in 2020, they would have convinced more people, even on this day. (And even though 2/29/20 is a Saturday.  And even though nobody releases a tentpole movie in late February.)

Seems like someone saw WWEs release of "Southpaw Regional Wrestling" and went for the same punchline.

Big question on my mind... HOW?! I mean outside of CGI, and I would think the Star Wars community in general would have a big problem with that.

they ruled out cgi earlier, so it's just going to be old footage.

If her estate signs off on it, I don't think there would be a big problem.  I think it would be a much worse crime for them to kill her off off-screen or to make her quietly go away.
