Got my tickets for opening weekend. (Wish it could be opening night, but yay! Parenthood!) I will not be convinced that this won't be a great time.

And I got tickets to see it opening night(December 19th) with my good friends Kat and Chris. Saturday the 21st I will be going to see it with my friend Stephanie.

I think I'll wait till it comes out on BluRay so I can thoroughly enjoy this on my 75 inch Vizio with surround sound in the privacy of my own home 8)

I can never resist seeing a big Star Wars or MCU movie on opening night. I got to admit though, it took quite a while to get to a point where I truly felt that I was endeared to that particular universe...it took sometime around 2013 with The Winter Soldier or Guardians of the Galaxy. Sorry, getting off topic.

The ONLY thing I am worried about is maybe having to deal with snowfall that time of year.

What's a saaga? Is that anything like a Saaga Genesis?

There's every chance in the world that a modern Star Wars Holiday Special would actually be good. It certainly wouldn't turn out like the last one.

Darth Geek

I'd still like to see Disney release a BluRay of the Star Wars Holiday Special. An extensive documentary on the making of it would be far more interesting than the show.

Also, if that awful Boba Fett cartoon was the basis for some things they do in The Mandalorian, does than mean they have Steven Tyler as Han Solo in it?

Kete

I would hope a new one is as bad as the original. The biggest risk I see is that the special guests would probably be super lame. I don't want to add the Jonas Brothers or Jeff Dunham to the Star Wars universe.

I'm trying to think of a good Aerosmith reference as the basis for a joke but I'm coming up empty. Maybe those animators needed to know where to... Draw the line!

Oh by the way

HAPPY LIFE DAY EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm worried that JJ seems to be retconning my second favourite Star Wars movie ever to placate a small, vocal group of manbabies

Last Jedi has indeed been downplayed heavily in most of the marketing, as expected:

The D23 teaser was particularly promising in that TLJ featured in two or three one-second clips at most, technically giving it less exposure than the average prequel (which all had about ten seconds total).

But personally, I expect a bait-and-switch, even with what could still be salvaged at this point.

Pak-Man

I'd guess that's because TLJ wasn't going to be there at launch. (They add it to the service in a few weeks. Just in time for the new one to come out. Gotta rake in that Blu-ray money.)
