I believe, according to a former post, he left on his own accord.

Which led me to question how we found out the information he even DROVE a Honda Accord.

The mystery is still unsolved.

Why would you leave a board full of MST3K/RIFFTRAX fans????     Was his honor insulted?     Were his bloodlines called into question?

We all know Jedis must not know hatred,  nor love.

I'm not certain what I just said explains anything per se, but it seems oddly appropriate.

lol I get it now... I even used to work at a supermarket so I should've figured it out but, why the hell didn't you just say sugary. Is that word honestly in your everyday arsenal

Saccharine carries a further connotation than "sugary" it adds a layer of fakery to the sugar. It's a term I'd use pretty easily. Perhaps it's a cultural thing (not sure where Johnny Short Torso hails from).

Shawshank was alright, it had an upfront and brutal depiction of the prison system, but everything was all well and done except maybe for the ending in Mexico, yeesh what a cheesy way to finish it off. It could have been more poignant with Robbin's character dieing in jail of old age. At least the reality of the justice system convicting the innocent wouldn't be lost on the viewers. The ending on the beach pretty much says "yeah he was the wrong guy, but at least he's happy now, sorry for all that grief we were giving you."

That ending came about due to the infamous test audience. Best described by Bill Hicks as "a bunch of random yahoos."

The films suppost to end with Red looking out the window hoping to see his friend but it wasn't supposed to leave you with the certainty that he would.

*shrug*

I liked this movie. I also liked the original King story, which is EXTREMELY rare for me. Most of his shit I can't stand. When he goes on and on about the demonic mumbo jumbo he usually writes himself into a corner with and then has to make up a bunch of arbitrary BS to get himself out of, I'm not in the least bit interested... but when he sits down and actually just tells a damn story, he usually ends up doing okay.

I thought that the movie as a whole was true to the story, and was well written and acted. True, the ending was a little bit schmaltzy, but the implication in the story is that they will see each other again, even if it is not shown outright.

True. But the possibility is always there that he won't and also it allows the reader too write their own version in their heads of that meeting.

King is an interesting individual, he's like a sort of literary mollusk; there's a small amount of very good writing surrounded by tons and tons of accreted bollocks

This is one of the most accurate descriptions of King I've ever heard. Minus the "interesting" bit. ;)

At the risk of getting made fun of, I think King does a great job of character writing.

Bag of Bones was one of the nicest character driven books I have read.   Maybe that makes me shallow, but I loved that book.

I forgot which one, either Kevin or Mike that was writing about the test audience skit in The Incredible Melting Man episode and how it was intentionally made to mock the movie production hassels they had when doing Mst3k: The Movie

That's something that I will never get about the movie industry, they are so concerned about audience reaction that they would rather pan it all down to a common denominator. God forbid a director has a vision that goes against a test audience.

Damn I always forget to add emphasis: "interesting"

I like this movie but I think it'd make a GREAT riff.
