Some sources are saying that this used to be called "Valencia." (Shrug) But whatever it is, it's coming in March.

From the poster tagline, I am guessing that Goodman will be a villain, chasing her to get her back. But I would think that there would still be some monsters in the movie. Abrams has said that the original Cloverfield creature was a baby, so maybe we'll see it's parents. There's also all those smaller creatures that fell off it, which might still be around.

Seems like it was some other movie then they tacked on some cloverfield bits to make a related movie.

Yeah, considering the title changes and everything it's already had, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's no relation whatsoever (beyond some likely easter eggs) and that it's a totally unrelated movie that got slapped with a new title when JJ's Production company came in to increase the buzz.

Or maybe I'm totally wrong and there's lots of direct correlations. What do I know? That's the Mystery Box for you, after all. Although I'm actually rather intrigued by the stripped-down nature of this one, so I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Of course, another part that everyone seems to be forgetting is the idea that Cloverfield even needs a sequel to begin with (one of those is quite enough, I'd like to think).

Getting very positive reviews so far.  90% on RT from critics opening day, which is not common.  I didn't care for Cloverfield, but this looks fun.  I'm going to say "zombie apocalypse" and hope for the best.
