QuoteIt was during the Cannes Film Festival last year that Edward Norton announced that he did a re-write of Zak Penn's script for "The Incredible Hulk." In fact, Norton mentioned that part of the reason why he came on board was because he got the chance to bring his version of the Hulk to the big screen. His deal included payment not just for his acting services but for his writing talents too. So why is his name not on the final credits of the film?

IESB is reporting that the screen story and screenplay is solely credited to Penn. This has been confirmed by Penn's office, Universal representatives and the WGA, who stated: "Zak Penn is receiving sole credit for story and screenplay."

If you think we imagined the fact that Norton has been involved with the script, here are some statements made by "The Incredible Hulk" team in the past few months:

Norton stated: "I grew up reading Marvel Comics and always loved the mythic dimension and contemporary themes in the stories, and I'm proud of the script I wrote."

Lou Ferrigno stated: "I believe he rewrote the script because he's very involved with the character."

Marvel Studios president of production, Kevin Feige, has stated that he would want to hire Norton for other films. "Yes, he is that good a writer that I would definitely work with him on another movie that he wasn't starring in."

Zak Penn stated: "I was writing it, now Edward is."

I went to go see the Hulk with my friends when it first came out in 2003 and from what I've seen so far every single element of The Incredible Hulk is far superior.  Better actors, better writers, better special effects, better story, better director (I'm gonna get shunned for that one).

There definitely does look like there will be alot more action in this movie. It'll have that over Ang Lee's Hulk movie.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

I'm guessing the driving scene in "Manos" The Hands of Fate had more excitement too?

"wow, that is an interesting tv spot Jacob"

Thank you kind stranger, here is another pleasant surprise just for you

QuoteEveryone already knows that Tony Stark (AKA Iron Man) shows up in "The Incredible Hulk," and now, director Louis Leterrier has confirmed that fans will get to see Captain America as well. In an interview with SOS Hollywood, Leterrier revealed the exact place where the cameo will take place.

"There's a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decides to kill himself," said Leterrier. "So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else considered to be too hard for young audiences to take, so we've cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America!"

The Artic Circle has indeed showed up in several of the trailers and TV spots, but outside of an aerial shot, there is nothing more. Not to worry, explained Leterrier. "At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD."

And speaking of the DVD, the director confirmed that the Blu-ray version will contain over 70 minutes of cut footage. The film hits theaters tomorrow (June 13th).

Hulk Smashed!!!!

I just got back from the midnight showing. I fully expected to be disappointed in some way but it was great in every way.
It really was everything you could want from a Hulk movie if you are a real comic book fan. I cannot think of a single thing that I wanted to be changed or added to the movie. Ang Lee is a great director but he just wasn't right for the Hulk. Louis Letterier and Edward Norton get the Hulk, they understood the character and its origins perfectly.

Also what an ending, always leave them wanting more well they definitely did that here. Everyone knows that Tony Stark makes a cameo but what you don't know is what he says and what he says is nothing short of a geeks wet dream. Mark Millar, Brian Michael Bendis, some marvel comic writer wrote that scene I guarantee it. When you see it you will understand.

As for the action, well it puts Transformers to shame in that department and that was the last huge action movie (Iron Man has action in it but that doesn't dominate the film and is nothing compared to what we see in this movie).

Go see it, don't expect high art and be a snob. Just go to have fun and you will. It's like a roller coaster ride and I wanna go see it again.

You know, I think this was the one major weakness of Ang Lee's Hulk movie. He wanted to make it an arty, cerebral affair but he chose the wrong character for this sort of approach.

One thing it must have over Transformers is that you can tell what the hell is going on during the action scenes. ;) All in all I am very excited to see this movie. It's good you loved it! It gives me quite alot of positivity when I will see it around 4 P.M. today with my niece and nephew.
