I thought there was an old Roku thread here but I guess not...

Took advantage of the current sale on the Roku 3 ($80) to replace my 4 year old Roku 2 XS.

Only reason I've been thinking about upgrading was for the voice searching, and it is very good, I'd say it's better than the Fire TV Stick.

The earphone jack on the remote is also a nice feature.

Only con so far is the Crackle app is complete crap on the 3, getting it to stop auto-playing and bring up a list of shows or movies is crazy.

Still kind of stupid you have to add your own micro SD card if you want to avoid reloading channels and games, the 3 has the same amount of memory as the 4 year old one, it would add about 50 cents to the unit to give it 1 or 2 GB of flash memory.

All in all, I'm surprised there isn't much of a noticeable increase in response time after 4 years, but the addition of voice searching is a big plus.
