The same reason there's explosions in space.

There could be enough oxygen in the Deathstar to fuel an explosion....and as Mythbusters shows us, explosions are even bigger in a vacuum.

That's just a rumor for now, or might just be a working title.

I hope it is. It's a weak title.
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. Yeah, if some of the rumors I've heard are true, we're gonna be in for a really cool movie.

That's an IF roughly the size of Betelgeuse, though.
