Direct from SHOUT!, I got my set XXXIX today, with the complete Poopie! disc.

Is Poopie II complete? Or the truncated version that was used on the Rhino set?

I haven't watched it yet, but it says it is the "definitive" collection on the back and the total run time is listed at 75 minutes.  [Technically, it says, "+/- 75 min" which - to be exact, means that it is either 75 minutes or NEGATIVE 75 minutes.  I'm curious as to which it actually is. ::) ]  I'll let you know if II appears complete when I spin it up.

OK... watched.  And here's the times for each segment:

Poopie! [1]   30:55
Poopie!  2     27:48
Poopie Parade of Values   17:01

Total:  75:44  and after watching I noticed my clock had advanced in time, so clearly NOT the "minus" minutes that the box said it could be. :P

Hopefully that helps.

I haven't bought Volume 39 yet, but I have created DVDs for the 11 unreleased episodes, just to have them all on DVD.  Menus, covers, and printed disc labels.  They're gonna go on the shelf right next to the Shout Factory releases.

Given this is the last set, and therefore, the last Bonus discs, I created a slipcover for the four Bonus discs, using the slipcovers for the SHOUT! sets as a model.  I spent a LOT of time making stuff as a kid, using paper, cardstock, double-sided tape, glue, etc., so this was almost second nature.  [To give you an idea how much I did stuff like that, I asked for a professional paper trimmer (19"x19" wood base with heavy metal blade assembly) for my 'Jr High graduation' present (something my folks did).]  However, my color printer which handles 11x17" cardstock is not currently working, so I left the slipcover for the MST Bonus discs blank/white.  (Since I'm not displaying it, spending hours creating a perfect-looking custom sleeve would have been a waste for me anyway, so I don't feel I 'lost out' on it with it being blank, but they are easier to keep together (and vertical) in a slipcover.)  I did not make it so it could open on the spine like the SHOUT! ones do, just a solid slipcover (a 5-sided one-piece 'box' with no 'movable parts').

Thanks to Retro Muppet Pastor (in the following post), I can now show both the thing itself, and the basic 'blueprint' sketch of it (i.e. what it looks like pre-assembly).  I'm including the blueprint and instructions in the spoiler after the picture of it (for the instructions, once I started, I just kept typing - had no idea it would be that involved to write out clearly).

Instructions and 'blueprint' for slipcover assembly (if anyone is interested):
Spoiler
Here is my raw drafting sketch for it (if making one, make sure all lines are straight, not like the bizarrely serrated one on the top of the Front in this image ??? ).  I forgot to write on the thing itself, but the black outer lines are cut/outlines, the blue lines are fold lines (the black lines with numbers in the middle are simply drafting procedure for showing sizes).

I made it using metric measurements for simplicity (given that the ruler I was using didn't have 1/16" markings past the first few inches).  The basics are: the interior pocket to hold the four thinpaks is 2.9 cm wide x 19.1 cm tall x 13.6 cm deep.  If one leaves 2.9 cm flaps on all sides (with an 'overhanging' 2.9x2.9 flap sticking off the top and bottom of the upper and lower flap to wrap inside once assembled) one can tuck in a 2.9 cm flap for the two long edges to reinforce all four sides of the opening on the long edge.  (Check one of the slipcovers for the SHOUT! slipcovers to see what I'm referring to.)  Then, for the flaps on the back, trim about 1mm off the top and bottom flaps, so that they don't cause the front flaps to 'retreat' from the edge/corners of the box when finished.  Also trim a tiny triangle into the side of each flap (going from 1mm at the outside, to the corner at the center), so that it can fold in easily without bunching up in the corners.

Use thick cover stock, and add extra to flap measurements to compensate for the thickness.  [I used 80lb cover stock (a bit thinner than the SHOUT! slipcovers) and it didn't require adjusting.]  Make ALL folds/creases hard and sharp (requiring no effort to re-form the bend) before using anything to adhere surfaces to each other, or else you will quickly find yourself with a mess and unable to continue.  Also: when folding to secure a long strip with the double-sided tape, start with pressure to attach it working from the center out to the edges to help prevent buckling.

1.  Attach double sided tape to the inside of the long edge flaps (the ones to reinforce the entry).  Fold in, and secure.

2.  Attach double-sided tape to the outer edge, and what would be the outside of the spine flaps and the back flaps (the 2.8 cm ones).  Fold them over and place the inner (2.8 cm) top flap over it so that the spine and side are at a 90º angle to one-another.  (A thick paperback book can help for the squaring off.)  Do both top and bottom like that.

3.  Now, with the outside of the back flap having the double-sided tape's other sticky side facing up, carefully fold over the front flaps to make a squared off box, securing both sides of the flap.  It's double-sided tape will be on the outside edge, while the previous flap will be on the inside.  (Again, using a thick paperback book can help for squaring it off.)

4.  Now all that is left is the 2.9 x 2.9 cm flap sticking off the top and bottom.  With double-sided tape on the outermost edge of each, fold these carefully inside, to make one solid 'top' and 'bottom' to the sleeve for the slim DVD cases to go in.

You're done!  See?  Easy-peasey!  [Actually, I made this kind of stuff all the time as a kid and have done similar things off-and-on over the years, and it still took me over an hour from measurements to done, and that was without doing ANY printable design on the slipcover.  So plan on giving yourself time for this project.]

Unfortunately, thanks to the crap from Photobucket, I can upload neither a photo of the thing itself, nor of the basic visual.  Since I'm including the instructions in the spoiler (once I started, I just kept typing), if someone is interested, PM me and I can scan the raw pics of my basic 'blueprint' sketch to you, so the below may make more sense.

You can use Img BB (https://imgbb.com/).  They seem to work okay for me.

Thank you for the info on a hot-linkable picture hosting site! :)  I've now taken pics of both the slipcase and the instruction image (note: image sections not to scale, but measurements are included on it [I knew in high school the drafting class would come in handy!]) with lines pointing to the areas being discussed in my instructions already posted.  I've added the pics to my post just above yours, so both pics and instructions are together.

Thanks again for letting me know about imgbb!

Quite welcome.  It's self serving to me, too.  I want to try and utilize this info.

So that box can hold 4 slimlines and prints out on 11 x 17 cardstock?

Yes.  The flat form itself is roughly 10" x 14" so too large for normal (8.5x11") paper/cardstock.

If one didn't mind more seams, it could be made with two normal sheets (each face printed vertically on a sheet), where the spine would be overlapped (a 2.9 cm side and a 2.8 cm side fully overlapped), but that would require extra care on the part of the person making it for the two halves to be precisely connected or the top and bottom wouldn't align, and the opening wouldn't be rectangular, but a parallelogram.  (If one was Escher or Salvador Dali, that wouldn't be a problem, however.)

Did they ever release a copy of Volume 31 (Turkey Day set) with standard packaging?  My copy is in some metal box which is awkwardly mismatched compared to the other sets.

My riffing shelf is all full.  I think I need to order another.

I think this is the set that Shout where Shout put the cardboard box up on their site for free (the buyer played $5 or so shipping). I've got it on the shelf in the regular box, with the tin tucked away.

I'm not sure if it ever got a retail release in the box.

There was one of those (that Imrahil kindly sent me on the case for), but there was a second set that was tin only too. Or did they offer a case for that one too?

Thanks.  I didn't think of that.  Fox did that with season 6 of The Simpsons.  They released it in an annoying Homer shaped box, but they included a phone number you could call to request a standard box.

I just ordered one from Shout Factory.  It's free, but they charge six bucks for shipping.
