QuoteActor Harrison Ford suffered gashes to the head after a small plane he was piloting crash landed at an L.A. golf course Thursday, TMZ reported.

The entertainment website reported that Ford, 72, was piloting what appeared to be a vintage 2-seater plane when something went wrong and the plane crashed into Penmar golf course in Venice, California.

Ford reportedly suffered multiple gashes to the head and was bleeding when two nearby doctors at the  golf course rushed over to treat the actor.

I hope Mr. Ford is okay. This isn't turning out to be a very good week for actors.

Good thing he wasn't piloting the Millennium Falcon :P

Too Soon :o

I hope he's going to be okay. :( He seems a little too adventurous these days.

Very glad that it looks like he's going to be alright, because that makes it easier to crack some of the many, many possible jokes about this.

Not the first of which being the walking cliche of Ford finding two doctors out on a golf course.

And that's why I'm posting these as I come across them because if he had been killed, I would be a lot more somber about this

Oh absolutely, I agree. As others have pointed out, I don't think the geek world could have survived losing Spock and Indy within a week of each other.

You're right! A loss like that would have been devastating :o

Between Han and Henry (Indiana was the dog's name) plus Deckard in my teens today really drove home how much Harrison Ford has influenced my life.
