Hi everyone. I'm new, obviously. Not entirely sure how I ended up here. Sentence fragment. So I decided to grab another MST3K box set from Borders today. I stay at my boyfriend's apartment while he works third shift and I only have a suitcase full of clothes and movies I've seen about a thousand times to keep me company.

Naturally MST will suffice.

Apparently, I'm a fan of MST3K 2.0 if that's what it insists on being called. I got Vol. 9 even though I already had Sinister Urge and ISCWSLABMZ from illegal downloads. You with me? Marvellous. Except I popped in Women of the Prehistoric Planet and couldn't get through the first five minutes. Not a fan of Joel's...well...everything. And Tom Servo I just sounds like a child molester. A little bit. Anyways, I digress. Nothing in the episode was funny. Nothing in the second episode, Wild Rebels was funny...

I'm a bit disappointed. So I randomly looked for what the new volume would be and, unfortunately, more of seasons <6.

My name's Roman. I have a poisonous bite, I'm abnormally thin, and I'm amazing.

Nice to meet you all!

NEXTWAVE! You are my new best friend.

I'll let someone else rag on you about how it's not MST 2.0. Where's Tarantulas?

Jubilee

I figured there might be some Nextwave fans around here. Viva la Tabitha! Elsa too... Hell, everyone.

Any book that can make you appreciate a former X-Force character (besides Deadpool, of course) must be brilliant beyond description. "There are French people in Canada? ZOMG!"

Jubilee

My favorite would be her holding a jet pack between her fingers like a dead rat and words of disdain forming in the sentence:

"Why do I have to fly?

Why the hell did they cancel Nextwave? Oh, yeah, cause it was funny. Funny books aren't allowed to be funny any more...

My robot brain needs beer.

Aaron: I could make you pregnant.

Elsa: Not unless you could do it from over there, clanky.

Aaron: I am full of usefull devices.

Monica: Yes... Yes you are...

Aaron: Um... you're a little too old for me.

Loves it.

Sorry, that's the first thing that popped into my head when I read the subject line....

Anyhue, to the matter at hand...

Greetings and Salutations New-Member Type Personage, feel free to walk quietly among other members of these forums, but know their power for they are your rivals. Quietly crush them as you work diligently through the night.  Pay attention to the Platypus behind the curtain, for he is your ally.  Drink deeply and lustfully from the foamy draught of Evil that is Tarantulas... Here take these items and use them to aid you in your toils... *Gives Jubilee a Smoking Jacket (with several packets of designer smoke), a Mexican Jumping Bean-Bag Chair , and a tin of freshly made Artificial Demon Dog Cookies, made with Genuine Artificial Demon Dogs* ...and Uh, do it to the other guy before he does it to you, and be bad to the bone.  Won't you?  Thank you...

On a separate note, Some movies, even with the comedy stylings of Joel, Mike, Kevin, Bill and the rest of the cast and crew aren't quite enough to take the edge off completely.  Let's face it, then or now it holds true that what's up on the screen getting ripped to shreds isn't exactly Shakespeare.  No mater how many 'spoonfuls of sugar' you add it's still gonna go down HARD!  I was the same way with MANOS at first, it was a genuine chore to stay with it long enough to get  to the next host segment.  Perhaps If i may offer a better choice for a starter episode, if you will... Ep# 820, Space Mutiny, and Ep# 913 Quest of the Delta Knights are two of my personal favorites.

Welcome to Rifftrax. You picked a good week to find the site, what with the release of another Star Wars riff plus the announcement of a Neil Patrick Harris special guest riff on Willy Wonka. Have fun in the forums, their are lots of comic book fans here, unfortunately I'm a comic novice at best.

No, see, I totally see where you're going with this, but I think it's just the first two seasons I have a problem with. I own Space Mutiny and Quest of the Delta Knights, and I love them. I've seen the Manos episode, and it was ok. I think I would be able to watch Women of the Prehistoric Planet but only if it was done post-Joel.

And thank you. I'll guard these items like I guard Sugar Bomb stock warehouses.

Pak-Man

Mmm. X-Factor. Multiple Man is quickly becoming my favorite active mutant in the marvel universe. That comic's way well-written. :^)

Have you read the Madrox mini that led up to the new X-Factor? Peter David = awesome. Good stuff, beside the lame ending, but lame endings are pretty much par fo the course in comics.

I love Siryn's reaction to Banshee's death. "Ah, he'll be back." And Banshee's horse-mounted goodbye video. Why can't they make these minor characters cool without killing them?
