It's a car finder app that's pirate themed.

So we are the only 2 people on this forum that use Android?  I figured there would be a shit load of responses by now...

OK, I don't know if you give a damn about games, but here are some apps I have for the android:

Rocket Player: a fairly popular music player
Flixster: Checks times for movies at local theatres (and tomatometer ratings)
Google Chrome
iSyncr: You need to pay a couple bucks for it, but will put all your iTunes stuff on you phone.

It doesnt matter, throw it all at me.  I'll play some games.

I think it is better for the tablet, but I'm addicted to Marvel Puzzle Quest, a puzzle game with superheroes.  Angry Birds is also a classic (it's also the best one to play offline.  All online does is add distracting ads.  There's also Fruit Ninja and Simpsons Tapped Out.

Pak-Man

When it comes to Android games that don't hit me up for microtransactions, I've had the most fun with Kairosoft's games. Dungeon Village and Game Dev Story are the most frequently played by me.

If you want bang for your buck, I downloaded XCOM expecting to get a watered-down strategy game to play on the bus, but I ended up with a nearly-PC-Perfect port. It's the prettiest thing my phone does. :^)

So what about apps for improving day to day life other than games?

I don't use it very much, but if you like comparing prices and stuff, you can download a barcode scanner.  It'll work on most common items that aren't local made thingies.

There are a lot of flashlight apps. I like TeslaLED.

MartyS (Gromit)

The amazon app has a barcode scanner, kind of fun just to scan random things to see if Amazon sells it, I think I've only found one or 2 items that didn't register.

My flashlight app just says "Flashlight", it does SOS morse code and some other cool things.

One that no one else has mentioned that I find very useful is "ring scheduler", lets me set times when the phone goes silent, so I don't have to remember to do it every night.  Working odd hours and usually needing to sleep to at least 8am, having the ringer automatically silence every night from midnight to 8am is awesome.

I have to look for a new weather app, I used to like the AccuWeather app but this latest version not as much.

Pak-Man

There's a Wal-Mart app that you can download where you scan a little QR code on your reciept every time you shop there. The app scans for better prices at other stores, and gives you back the difference if you would have saved money elsewhere. The drawback, of course, being that you'd need to shop at Wal-Mart. I don't have any personal experience with it, but Tyrant uses it frequently.

I use sports tracker and my fitness pal daily.  I also use the Kroger coupon app, and swarm (because my brother does and it's a good way to keep in touch).
Yeah, I use MyFitnessPal too. It works great.

I also use CardioTrainer a lot. It works really well, and I like that it gives me a little badge in the corner that shows calorie acheivements for the week.
