Godzilla Stalks NY, via Nashville

[Miku Fan]

Got my hotel room (near the Belcourt theater) for the live performance of Godzilla 98 in Nashville. Supposed to attend the meet and greet, so i got some small gifts for the guys.  Mike's is bacon related.  Well, I guess a pig's hoof cursed by a voodoo priestess is bacon related, right?

Anyway, 10 days and counting!

Wow.  I'm overwhelmed by the replies, hahaha.  Just learned that the meet and greet is one day before the show.  So, I'll be in Nashville for two days. Meet and greet Wednesday at 1ish, check in time at the hotel, 4ish. Dang.

I do have family in Nashville, so that will give me something to do Wednesday night (I'm a former Nashvillan, now a Memphomaniac).

So, what to do while in Nashville, while family is at work? See Music Row?  Heck no!  I was born and raised in Nashville, I am far too familiar with Music Row, the Grand Ole Opry, etc.

I could go to BBQ restaurants and laugh at Nashville style BBQ-  It sucks, compared to Memphis style. But, I don't want to get my hinder kicked while in town, so that's out.

Guess I'll sit in my hotel room or maybe drive around the 840 loop! Or maybe stand outside the Belcourt with a "Will watch Rifftrax rehearsal for food" sign.

Oh, I did get second row seats to ゴジラ (gojira) as the Japanese call it, Godzilla to the rest of us.  So, I'm stoked about that!

Are there any other attendees that post here? I'd like to hear from you.

Have fun at the meet and greet! I'm headed down from Missouri the day of, looking forward to it. I've been there for one show before, it was STARSHIP TROOPERS - it was an absolute blast. Got to chat with a few folks in the line, that was cool.

Cool! Maybe we'll bump into each other at the show. I'll be wearing a shirt bearing my forum name-sake.  If you see me, say hi!

I was going to attempt to attend Starship Troopers in Nashville.  I fell asleep at my computer, waiting for the "advance ticket purchase notice" email, and woke up two hours late. So, i saw it here in Memphis.  It was a lot of fun!

I got to see my name on the credits as one of the kickstarter backers.  My face will be on the credits this time, along with many, many other Rifftrax backers.
Kickstarter can be great.

Really want to see a live show, so I am thrilled about this!
Have a great time!

You too, it should be awesome!
