I really couldn't think of any puns for this title.

I'd say that a cave granny with evil magic powers is still better than a cave granny with evil Austin Powers.

I learned that we are apparently supposed to think that the son of the foreman who almost rapes Yambao in that scene where she washes her clothes in the river is a tragic figure.
I learned that Yambao, who looks... twenty, tops apparently carried her supposedly dead grandmother away from the cliff and buried her when she was five ("For fifteen years nobody has danced to the full moon" says the foreman in the beginning).

WARNING: In case of Rapture, this dance belt will be unoccupied.

I learned that the genres of "witchcraft-based horror" and "feel-good musical" seamlessly blend.

I learn that you respond to a village pariah attempting hostile magic by joining in her dance number.

I learned that sugar plantation slaves had plenty of spare time for artistic recreation.

I learned something I already knew: to make someone think you're attractive and powerful, shove them away from you when they court you. Hard. And in front of all their friends.
