I see very few trailers myself. I don't do much TV (what few shows I do watch, I watch online), or go out to theaters a lot.

As a woman, I liked it because they are clearly going to make all those women KICK ASS!  My fucking niece needs shit like this. I need shit like this. Now we just need that Buffy movie....or an all female avengers. 1-2 token characters filtered throughout is not doing it.

It's a shame besides Black Widow the only strong action/genre female character I can think of is Hit-Girl which was ages before.  The woman in Dredd possibly?

Again...those are solo females in male dominated movies. Rey is the best of them because at least she is one of the main heroes (so was hermione) but I like the idea of an all or mostly female group of asskickers.

Despite my snarky comment earlier, I do agree with Anais about the lack of female centric action movies. Probably Charlie's Angels would be the most relevant one I can think of.

Also, with how many merchandising tie-ins that The Avengers had, why didn't they do a Barbie tie-in and have Assassin Barbie?

The Russian trailer for Ghostbusters is now online.

It's basicly the same as the U.S. trailer, except it's in Russian, of course, and replaces the Melissa McCarthy possession scenes with different footage.
