Hey guys!  Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum.

I'm a 24-year-old New Yorker... I'm guessing I'm probably on the younger end of the spectrum.  I got into MST3k on Comedy Central during my early teenage years... in junior high, my best friend and I would watch and tape and re-watch religiously.  I followed the series to the Sci-Fi channel for a while (until we stopped getting cable) and have made do with DVDs and bootlegs ever since.

Needless to say, I am just plain giddy about Rifftrax.  I've watched The Grudge and Aeon Flux so far... tonight may be Matrix night!

Welcome! I think you'll find that the two Rifftrax you've watched are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the quality rffing that can be found in the other movies - The Matrix is an excellent example.

Dim of the Yard

All righty.  Just popped in to say I read your topic name and started humming the Beatles.  Which means I like you already.

From one relatively young New Yorker to the next, welcome to the forums!  I do hope you enjoy your stay here.  There's boards to show off your l33t Photoshop/PSP skillz, fun games where you get to try to guess the next Rifftrax, and Fiery Hot Cheetos in the vending machines.  Fun times here.

Sharktopus

Welcome to the fold, fellow twenty-something New Yorker. Let me be the first to say the words "rudimentary lathe" in this thread. Somebody would do it eventually, it might as well be me.

So just one question...

Rangers or Islanders?

Oh gosh, my first post and you're already asking me to be controversial.  Truth is, I hate hockey.  The only hockey games I've ever sat through were being played on Super Nintendo.  ("This is the one where you can make their heads bleed!")

*looks right, then looks left*, well, I suppose the others will be by soon to harass, er greet you (especially platypus)  For the time being though maybe I can give you some things that will make your stay here a bit more ...interesting  yeah, that's it...  Here ye be... *Gives  tremormilo a tube with several pairs of designer Chin-der wear, a Big-Gulp Beret, and a Mexican Bean-Bag Chair...

Enjoy!

Where in New York are you guys from? If you search the forum I'm sure you'll find the story of how I hitchhiked with a trucker named "Dragon" to be here in San Diego with the RiffTrax folk, but that's something for another time. I'm originally from upstate.

Did you get to sit in the Mach 5 at any point?

Greetings, New Poster(s)!  As of now, my feelings toward you are completely neutral! May they remain neutral or better for many a month, before you say something that annoys me slightly until about a week later when I forget about it! Then, may they remain neutral again!
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.
