When John Travolta was promoting his movie, he said it would be "Like star wars, only better". Yeah John, this is so much better than Star Wars... I would rather watch a week-long endless marathon of Episodes 1-3 of Star wars than watch battlefield earth without rifftrax. Now if Johnny was talking about the first star wars film... he was either lying, overzealous, or high on something. I think it was overzealousness though, we all know John "Terl the Psycho Psychlo" Travolta is pretty vocal about promoting religions that make movies like Battlefield Earth. There is one other possibility though, and that is that John Travolta is an asshole.

Actors always make shitty comments about other films and franchises.Tarantino bashed Mann's Collateral, R. Lee Ermey called Kubrick about Eyes Wide SHut and says "Your movie sucks!",  while Damon became an asshole and says "Jason Bourne would kick Bond's ass".

I remember him saying(On good morning America or some other morning talkshow)that BE was going to be the new Star Wars and that he had five sequels planed.

I laughed at the time and it seems even funnier now.

Is it true that he stole the money he needed to make this piece of trash,i heard that somewhere too.
