You won't hear any dissent from me.  Season One was amazing.  Season Two seemingly forgot a lot of what was good about the first season, and turned the cast's most kick-ass character into a simpering wuss.

Totally agree - S2 did a lot to ruin John Locke's character. However! Season 3 is doing much more to bring him back up to awesome status!

Reiterate again:
Watch the Pilot without the riff before watching it /with/ the riff!!!

[Steven Colbert Voice] I Called It! [/Steven Colbert Voice]

Tuesday July 25th 2006 on imdb http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0625621/board/nest/49218103

unfortunately my other request have gone unnoticed...for now...

I'm pretty stoked for this but I don't know how I'd feel about them doing a whole season, it'll get a bit old after a few episodes riffing on the same characters over and over.

I'd rather see them take on different TV pilots if this one proves successful, the 24 pilot, the Prison Break one, maybe a CSI: Miami (taking down the CarusoBot and his "Sun Glasses of Justice") you know ones that have kinda silly premises.

I'm all for any of the shows listed! Though I do rather enjoy 24 ;)

There's so many "NEW HIT DRAMA!" shows that really suck and would make good riff material.

There's one, don't even remember the name of it =P, that came out very recently involving a rebel ambulance driver, who liked to have sex in the back of his uncleaned ambulance.... yeah.... it was on TNT (I think) for anyone who might know the name of it.

Brilliant for riffing

I think it was called Saved, it stared Tom Everett Scott from 'that thing you do'.  Never saw it, may be a bit harder for people to get an episode of, not sure if there's a dvd or not.

EDIT:DVD is out in May apparently, so it would be possible.

Awesome.  I remember loving the pilot episode of Lost, and though I own the box set, haven't seen it in a long while.  I wonder if Mike will rip it to shreds (Crossroads) or have good time with it (LOTR)?

MasterChief

damn! i can't believe i missed this! i'm a big fan of the show but i can see how it could use a good riffing. especially the later seasons. i've almost turned it off a few times from the sheer frustration.
I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I'm all out of gum.

So, I'm naive when it come to the ways of downloads/burning etcetera, etcetera.

If I buy the pilot episodes on iTunes, will I be able to burn them to a DVD-R?

Yes, I have DVD burner at my disposal, for that matter. What injects me with doubt is this message from the iTunes page: "iTunes 7.0 and QuickTime 7.1.3 are required to view video". Does this mean I will only be able to watch the downloaded video from a computer?

Nope.  Wish you could, or that's what I'd do, but you can't.

Yes and no.  You'll probably only be able to watch it on a computer, but it depends on your setup.  If you have an iPod (Video), you can hook that up to your TV and watch it that way (I use an S-Video setup that looks just as good as DVD, though it doesn't sound as good).  If you have Apple TV, you can use that.  If you have a computer with S-Video Out, you're good.  Otherwise, it's only on your computer.

Lost, huh? Interesting. A lot has happened for me being gone for 3 days.

Curse you, RiffTrax! You've coerced into watching some truly horrible things, but none of them have been heroin-level addictive. If end up with a Lost infection, I'm sending my medical bills to Mike.

I've never seen "Saved," but my roommate, a professional EMT, says it sucks. That's all I need to know.

I have no use for Lost (that is to say, I find it unwatchable), and I'm not keen on having to scrounge around for tv shows, frankly, so I hope this isn't a trend. Sadly, if there was a program I watched regularly up for Riffing, I'd be okay with it; pretty unlikely they'll Riff Good Eats or Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations :D

Clearly lots of other people are excited, though, so I'm in the minority I guess. No biggie... we're so far behind on watching the existing Rifftrax, that we'll be two months before we catch up :D (finally saw Daredevil last night  :o)

As far as TV shoes go, this one is fairly easy to find.  I wouldn't call going to iTunes, Netflix or your local video store scrounging any more than me trying to Battlefield Earth.

It's not like Mike is Riffing Season 1 of "Square Pegs."
