Undoubtedly the most jaw-dropping gem in Swamp of the Ravens is a delightfully deranged musical duet, an offal ode to a "robot" sung by the Ecuadorian answer to Don Ho and a mannequin:

Never, never will you fly from me, lifeless heart that doesn't beat after all
I have such feelings for a dead robot, while remembering
The past and all its love...
Wherever you may find yourself I wish you were dead, my own robot,
my own, my lady.
Don't stare at me with those eyes of horror.
You've thrown out my love for you to end us.
You've torn yourself apart while in your fits of angry rages,
the love flowing lifeless from your body.
With these eyes of brightness which fill up the darkness, my own robot,
My own, my lady,

So I guess you and I will stick it out.

We thought it might have been "You've thrown out my love for you to hound dogs." I had a lot of trouble with that line.

But yes, this song will never leave you. It's amazing. I wish it was five minutes longer. And also, he's singing it to a lifeless dummy.

This song. And the riffing. Perfect.

LuvBJones

This movie is Tourist Trap : The Musical.
WARNING: In case of Rapture, this dance belt will be unoccupied.

I don't know. Tourist Trap was succinct in every way compared to this bizzaro fever (or it feather?) dream.

Okay, did the director really think a guy singing about dead robots to a dummy would really make that guy a hero?

Was that song written as the camera rolled?

Darth Geek

I still haven't seen this riff yet. But hearing about this song makes me wish it was an MST3K episode so we could get the bots horrified by it. And probably another classic host segment.

Exactly what I was thinking.

And the last line of the song. One of the best (non-riffed) punchlines ever. And all the better because delivered straight.

Maybe the song makes more sense in Spanish.......eh, no, probably not.

J Garth Wilcox

Let's see if it's better in Spanish...

Nope, not at all....

Apparently the English lyrics are a fairly straightforward translation from the original, if Google Translate is any guide.

So... yeah.

This song is pure genius. This - coupled with the pickled baby segment - has made it one of my all-time favourite riffs.

It really captures the love of one man for his dead robot.

''So I guess you and I will stick it out.'' Such passion.

The girl in the film really can pick em! She runs away from her boyfriend to be with a creepy controlling abusive mad scientist and then decides to go back to her old boyfriend who has in the meantime constructed a life-size manikin replica of her which he sings to in night clubs!

El Heisenburg

My favorite VOD. This song is perfectly terrible and the visuals are truly disturbing.

I seriously no joke think that that song might be the coolest (not the best by any means just the coolest) song I've ever heard.  Its quite catchy too,  even months after the first time I watched it it would pop into my head out of the blue.

Of course that might be because every time I watch that movie whenever it gets to the song I back up over and over and watch it again laughing my ass of each time. Even the expression on Roberts face while he is singing it is perfect.  He looks almost smug, with complete certanty that what he is doing is some sort of profound art.  Also Bills "let me kiss hate love kill you" line is one of Rifftrax's all time greats.

I even think the "ladies and gentleman Heart!" line is great and I find puns to be the lowest possible form of humor (actually I think the best thing to change in the mst3k host switch was under Joel puns were accepted, whereas under Mike, while puns still occurred, they were generally meet with ridicule, derision, and threat's of bodily harm as all puns should be).

Also I would love to know the lyrics from the female side of the duet. I'm guessing they would either she'd some light on Roberts side of the duet, or just add to the general insanity of the song.  Not sure which outcome I would prefer.

If anyone knows the female vocalists lyrics please please post them.
