I know it's been mentioned elsewhere but it seemed appropriate to mention it here too. Rifftrax have recently released several of their riffs that were previously MP3 only as full VODs

Red Dawn
Star Wars Christmas Special
Dragon Wars - D War
& The Incredible Hulk - The Final Round.

J Garth Wilcox

Watched this for the first time today. Should this have had subtitles? I noticed a riff about a line not being subtitled.

no subtitles on this or the Dragon Wars VODs, plus some of the riffs are a little quiet, Joel's in particular, and I couldn't make them out. Still fun but if these things could be fixed it would help greatly.

MrTorso

The original MP3 of Red Dawn when it was first released, Joel's riffs were way low. I thought they fixed it at some point but maybe not?

Totally missed that announcement!

KidFlash

It wasn't announced, just... kinda happened.

Ah, so more an an unnouncement then?  ;)

Ah, good, the sound mix being too low sometimes wasn't just me.  Good to know!  I hope they fix it (and get subs in there) sometime soon.  Of course, this VOD even existing strikes me as a miracle, so maybe I should just be grateful for what we got.

I brought the issue of the subtitles up on Facebook and they said they would get fixed files up later in the week.

MrTorso

Subs fixed, Riffer Volume fixed too new files up by the end of the day:

Sorry to necropost.  What happened to the MP3?  I own the DVD, but this was low down on my list of purchases.  I decided to buy it today and check it out.

I've got mad reauthoring skills, ;) and would prefer to do it myself.  No offense, guys, but I prefer the sound quality on mine over VOD's.

So, is the MP3 gone forever?

Nope.

Go to My Purchases (Library), pick "Just The Jokes", "Feature Film", & Apply.  Scroll through & you should see the poster for it in there.  Click on that and you'll find the files.  (I just checked & I see it there for me.)

I haven't already purchased it, so it isn't in my library.

When I browse for a new MP3 that I haven't bought before, I click on the poster under "Just The Jokes" and it links me to the VOD only.  I've tried it a few different ways, and I can't find it.

BathTub

Yeah seems a couple of mp3s went MIA when the riffed film became a VOD, Red Dawn & Dragon Wars for example.

I brought the issue to their attention on the site a couple of days ago.  Haven't heard back yet, but I'm sure I will.

I'm hopeful their response won't be a polite version of, "buy the VOD and shut up."
