Watching it again right now, and I just don't think it gets any better than this. It's the only RiffTrax that I can get completely caught up in the plot AND laugh hysterically at the RiffTrax. Most RiffTrax tend to upstage the film it's riffing, but the movie is so good and so compelling and scary that the best MKB can do is match the movie in quality, and that isn't an insult. I think this is MKB at their riffing best because they add so much to an already stellar movie WITHOUT taking away from the narrative. It's THE perfect blend of riffing and movie, and it raises the quality of both to make one kickass cinematic experience. Best of both worlds and so on. I tend to go back and forth over which riff is "THE BEST" between this and Breaking Dawn 1, but I think I'm ready to put this one definitely in the top spot with BD2 coming in second. If you're new to RiffTrax, this is one you absolutely shouldn't miss.

I don't actually find it that scary, but I do find the film VERY fun.  And while I'm not a fan of remakes (and certainly not a fan of the 1999 remake), I think this could be a movie that could be done well.  It doesn't have to be campy, per se, but it could have a real sense of fun and could be truly thrilling.  It would also make a great stage play as well (of course, that could be because it's filmed sort of stagy, but still...).  And it is a really good riffing too.  A lot of fun.
