I'm wondering more about infections.
"Doctor, I've been seeing.... rust in my urine."

That would, of course, lead to a colonoscopy with a 15-foot long drill auger.

"Well Ironhide, most men will have to deal with something like this eventually. Why don't you just bend over on the bench here..."

Junkyard

Anyone who's been through a colonoscopy would ask you how that is unusual.

Woo! Time for Pak-Nerd to shine!

In the early comic books, Ratchet explained the repair process for Transformers. It seems they had pain sensors that a skilled Autobot medic could turn up or down. Presumably pain was good for TFs the same way it's good for us (Gotta know if someone's shooting you in the leg with a flamethrower.) so if the same rules applied to the movie's TFs, Jazz probably died a very painful and agonizing death.

But if it makes you feel better, you could tell yourself the movie works different. :^)

You know, I always wondered why robots in movies felt pain, it never made sense to me until your wrote that.   Of course, they would need to feel pain to know how badly they were being injured.

There was a scene like that in Terminator 2 as well when Sarah was pulling bullets out of the Terminator's back with a Leatherman and John asks if he feels pain. I sort of figured that it would be efficient robots were aware of damage in the same way that pain makes humans aware, but without the blinding discomfort. It'd be easier to keep fighting if your pain was more of a "Massive impact in groin region" instead of an "OH MY GOD! AAAAAAAGH!!" kind of thing.

I thought about that too, but without the pain, the incentive to STOP would not be as great as just reading a print out.

Junkyard

An inherint realization that you're existence is in danger of ending may just be enough incentive to stop someone from stabbing you in the robo-face.

Sideswipe

All very good points.  Who thinks Jazz will be back in part 2?  Im not really sure myself.  I suppose it could happen but probably not.  Theres alot of other Autobots out there that could take his place.  Like Sideswipe!

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Transformer medical procedures were brought up and nobody poisted this?

Junkyard

How did I miss that?

The Human Torch- "It, uh, it burns when I pee."
Prime- "WHAT DID I JUST TELL YOU?!"

Why would they waste film time for such a minor character?   :D

Sharktopus

Here's a thought. Y'know when Prime's holding Jazz's two halves at the end of the movie, and blathering about how "We've lost a good friend, but have all these new squishy fleshlings to make up for it," or whatever? Imagine if they weren't robots. THINK ABOUT IT.  :gouge:

Sam and Mikala are standing there, wondering if it was a good idea to make "friends" with these guys as the doctor holds up the two, drippy pieces of thier black, jive talking second- in- command.
Yeah, that would be frikkin' hilarious. :D

You guys are the sickest individuals I've ever met!!!!  :D :D

Since the Allspark is the source of life for the TFs, it probably could have brought Jazz back. My prediction for the sequel (which probably won't happen but I bet it will at least be discussed between the screenwriters):

Megatron comes back. Yeah, he got fried, but he's also been presumably infused with Allspark energy. He decides to bring back Jazz as a metal AND flesh-eating zombie.

  Okay, I can dream, can't I?
