Well, this is one geek experience that I aged out of.  By the time the whole transforming robots thing happened I was already like 22 and really sick of it.  I got really sick of it with the Go-bots and the Voltron and the Transformers and the... what the hell...

You guys can keep this movie.  Big miss for me.  You kids with your YouTubeses and your Borats and your hula hoops... AHHHH!!!

Hazzah

Transformers are one of my childhood favorites.  Maybe Michael Bay can make it up to the true Hollywood artistry by making it decent.

Movies like The Island, either Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor, Armageddon...and of course The Rock with Nic Cages anti-cursing plot line make Bays entire resume Rifftrax worthy.

Hi-Keeba!

Hell, I'm not even a Transformers fan and I'm rooting for you guys. I hope this movie turns out alright, and if I hear it did I'll probably go see it.... but Hollywood does have a way of ruining things you hold dear.

I think that's the problem with all of these "DAMN YOU MICHAEL BAY!!" and "TINO!" fanboys. They hold it dear because they refuse to grow up. I know people just like them, who own EVERY SINGLE TOY, including all the ones from the new, inferior cartoon series. It's like - guys! You're 30. Time to stop playing with toys.

I loved the cartoons as a kid, but if I tried watching them now, I'd probably riff them. Honestly. Everything was so much better when you were a kid because - wow - you were a KID!

Yeah.  When I was a kid, the Police Academy movies were the height of comedic genius.  And why did we think movies like that were awesome when we were kids?  Because we were kids, and kids are like little, stupid real people.

I still like Police Academy but for different reasons. I can understand someone still "loving" the T-Formers because it has a special place in their childhood. They do for me. But that doesn't mean they are sacred, as so many of the TINO fans try to argue.

"Now my childhood is ruined!" Come on... get out of the basement (real or figurative) and live a little.

Tyrant

Aye, I agree there, Torgo. Pak and I are guilty of still having our toys (and still buying new ones) and I admit it's still a little sacred with us. But, well, whoever wins that Ultimate TF Fan contest? And all those people who enter it? We're not them. Or even close.

For instance, we both think this movie is going to rock. We don't sit around griping about the changes.
