Well the money goal is $55,000, which they got in a couple hours, but that doesn't guarantee Twilight. The higher they get, the more they'll have to offer when it comes time to ask for the rights to do this.

Probably the biggest "hurdle" for them is going to be for them to read of the countless names in the "personalized thanks" video promised with some of the options.

I was thinking the same thing, last night they were already up to needing to read something like 1500 names.  In a month there could be many thousands.

Well, the "personal thanks" is I'm assuming a list. Some of the other donation options offer a special thanks VIDEO (everything over $25.)  Which now is hovering around 2000 names. Heh. Oy, I'm thinking that's going to change to them doing a video with the scrolling names with them "riffing" on the occasional one.

Or bundle people together, only use first names.  What ever it is, I'm sure they will think of something funny.

The video hasn't been released yet but apparently Gabe did actually go to a duck farm and shout 2500 names at some rather confused ducks. I expect that the Rifftrax crew will do the same.

It's exactly like it sounds like. 2541 people donated money to Penny Arcade with the expectation that the artist of the strip would then run after a duck while shouting out the names of contributors. An additional 1100 people donated money to have their names shouted at a duck *and* to have the artist think about them while having sex. They're not offering any video proof at that level though.

No, I mean I expect them to read the individual names aloud, rather than a generic "Thank you all Steves."

 I guess with 3 of them splitting the names they could do quite a few, but if it goes up to something crazy like 10,000 I don't expect them to say each name, besides the strain on their voices it would take forever.  All 3 reading 3 different lists simultaneously would be pretty funny, and a challenge to hear your name...

I wonder what the T-shirt is going to look like?  I was going to go for the tier where you get stuff a week early, but went higher for the "exclusive" tee.

Between now and the end of March? I'll say 6,000 backers and $300,000. (Essentially double what we have now.)
