It did for a while, but I've evolved to the point where I can accept "where things stand" for the most part.

See, this thread makes me smile, because not only am I in the middle of finally reading "Watchmen" (can I have my geek cred back now, please?), but I also just started finally reading Mike's "Mind Over Matters" and right there early on is his article on pessimism.

I feel like this thread is my own personal book club now.

Except... doesn't that work both ways? It's not like being a pessimist HURTS. Just don't hate it when you're right, and you can make pessimism work for you!

I've usually found pessimism leads to a lack of perspective as well as extended complaining both before, during and after.

Internet message boards have enough of that already.

I have to admit...I'm kinda excited for this movie. I know Moore hates film adaptations of his comics, but screw it...I want me some Watchmen.
