I've read an article where they say that the director is basically treating the graphic novel as the bible, where everything has to be authentic.  Looks like from those photos that that's true.  Awesome.

That is some cool little attention to detail, it'll make for a fun time trying to spot everything in the movie.

My guess is this is just Fox's way of getting back at Warner Bros. for the issues surrounding the (non-)release of the Batman 60s TV show.

Just read the graphic novel for the first time and I'm already wanting to read it again.  So much goodness.  I think it will definitely be Rorschach that holds the film together and I really like the casting of Jackie Earl Haley.

Hollywood hates us viciously. They will spend millions of dollars simply to hurt us. Until I see the film, I'm assuming they'll ruin this. They'll chiken out on something important, I'm sure.
I'm... sure.

I hope to God they don't screw up the ending. I read Watchmen for the first time a few weeks ago and the ending helped make that graphic novel. In addition to the good writing and stuff.

I just can't wait for the sequel, "Watchmen 2: Electric Bugaloo"
In which Doctor Manhattan saves the world from Dr. Cliched Evil Guy and Rorshach inexplicably comes back to life despite being vaporized at the end of the original.

QuoteThe camera zooms into the button as Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin' " plays; the credit montage then begins.

In a brief introduction before the footage, Snyder explained that the credit montage was a way to showcase a lot of the film's backstory, which stretches from the late 1930s to the mid-'80s. It's the type of sequence you wish you could watch 50 times. As Dylan twangs, the following shots are shown in slow-motion:

» Sally Jupiter at the head of a press conference, holding a newspaper that reads "World Goes Ga-Ga Over Silk Spectre"

» Dollar Bill shot dead, his cape stuck in a door

» President Nixon on TV, the bottom crawl reading "Term Limits Repealed." The camera zooms out to showcase the TV in a windowed showroom. A graffiti artist is painting the words "Who Watches the Watchmen" when a Molotov cocktail is thrown through the glass, exploding the screen

I hate to admit it, but removing dissapointment from the fabric of my life has indeed increased my average happiness.

It's hell to see the world as it is, isn't it?

You're constantly saddened to watch your worse fears come true.  Meanwhile, you have to have people berate you for it.    ;)

...so you're happier by assuming everything will suck?  I've gone the "whatever happens, happens" route the last few years and been much better for it.

For this movie, I'm going with the Sarah Palin debate route.  Lower the bar of expectation to such a low level that just showing up and not being a drooling boob is enough to count as a victory.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Benjamin Franklin said he was a pessimist - that way if bad things happened he was never disappointed and if good things happened he was pleasantly surprised.

That, I think, it's the only way to approach movies these days.  Especially comic book films.
