Hi all,

Is there a way to save purchased VOD titles to your iPad's home screen? I'm going on a long flight and want to load up! Thanks

You should be able to.  They offer purchased products in several different formats, including one specifically for tablets.  I think they're MP4s.  I used to download the shorts to my Ipod before it broke.

Login to the main Rifftrax site and click on "Your Library".  Then find the VOD or short you want to download to your Ipad and download it.

you would have to download them on a computer, then transfer them to your ipad, as far as i know.

Thanks for the replies. In my library, there are download buttons for different devices, but when I click it, it just opens up the VOD in a browser -- no option to save. (I just got my iPad this week, so I'm far from an expert...) Am I missing a step?

i don't think you can download it directly on the ipad. you need a computer as a middleman.

That's a web browser configuration problem.  It used to do that for me when I tried to download the MPG files.  What browser are you using?

Here's what you can do in Firefox.  I don't know how to handle it in any other browser.  Go to Tools, then Options, then Applications.  There will be a big list of file extensions and instructions for how Firefox should handle these.  MP4 should be on the list somewhere.  Might say MPEG-4 Video.  Change it to "Always Ask" or "Save File".  The first is better, since it'll give you better control over where you put the file.

Dunno what to do on other browsers.

He is trying to download them directly to his IPAD. As far as I know you can't because Apple won't let you. As others have said you would have to use a separate  computer to download and then use Itunes to load them up on the Ipad.
