How about Reefer Madness Live on April 20th?

Seems fitting.
4-20 falls on a Saturday in 2013; most people have the day off.  And as the live broadcasts are after 4:20pm most people that might be tempted to sneak something into the theater will already be at home eating Cheetos.

They've already done a Rifftrax Live! for Reefer Madness (the first RTL! event they did, I believe in fact.) It's highly doubtful that that they'd start doing retreads of previous RT events with so many other movies out there -including ones they already have VODs for- they could do Live! event son.  It'll never happen because of the movie's content and because the Director/Producer/Writer/Star is a jackass but I'd love to see a Live! event for The Room.

There was a Live Rifftrax of Reefer Madness, but it wasn't the first.  Plan 9 From Outer Space was the first live riff they did through Fathom Events, and that was after doing more than one live show with it without broadcasting.

I was pretty surprised they got Birdemic for the last live show, just because its so recent.  Got to admit I'm curious as hell how they're going to follow it up.

Ah, yeah, I remember Plan 9 now.  "Birdemic" surprised me too, mostly because it's not a public domain movie so obviously those who hold the distribution rights to it are aware of where the movie's "popularity" comes from even if James Nguyen isn't.   Be interesting to see if a RTl!:Bridemic DVD is released considering I imagine that'd be another hurdle when it comes to the rights with those who own the movie.
