What did we learn from that guy from Florida?

Ian Ziering is still working but kind of slumming it
Sometimes a ladies man just doesn't get the ladies
Maybe its time that our hero goes and spends more time at the judo range. His form is good but he seems to be missing with his hits
The 70's were a long time ago and I think we can all thank the stars for that
Small breasted Jessica Simpson is a very understanding white woman
Fodder's just this guy, you know.

I learned [honestly] there existed rotary-dial phones with the dial in the handset instead of in the base.  I mean.. Wow.  The mechanics of that blows my mind.

I learned that it's perfectly acceptable to take your clients to your girlfriend's home, kick her out for the night, and then sex up your recently traumatized client in your friends bedroom. Heck your charge can even wear your friend's clothes!

I learned that people in the 1970s casually walked around with nearly a million dollars worth of cash and coke on them.

I continue to learn how utterly absurd American car designs were in the 1970s.

I learned that saying our "hero" is from or this movie being called "The Guy from Harlem" served no narrative purpose.

I learned that reps, alternating muscle groups, and other things I learned from my gym trainer was all nonsense and I should just keep doing the same, basic, exercise.

I learned that even when you're given a "vague" description of a guy you should totally ignore a person you encounter fitting that very presumably vague description.

I learned that it is perfectly acceptable to make a move on the wife of an African president.

I learned that some movies feel they just don't need fight choreography.

I learned... wow, cream really is your color, Paul...

I learned that this is the Guy From Harlem these days:

I'm not sure if he is still from Harlem or not.

There are are two reasons.. TWO REASONS!

I forget what the second reason is, or what it was they were even reasons for, but there were definitely two of them... supposedly.

Haven't watched the Riff yet, but the preview tells me...

burnt orange crushed velvet sofas are where it's AT!

I learned that I'm very grateful to have been too young to remember the 70's.

Also, the CIA largely sucked back then.

$10,000 bills. The US Mint doesn't print anything over a hundred any more, thanks to counterfeiters. $1000 bills are still in circulation,  but it would very unlikely to find anyone with that many $10K Bills

Lemming Howard

I learned that professional bodyguards have both blank and live rounds in their guns so they can play good ammo-bad ammo interrogations.  I'm also wondering if anyone on the Secret Service has ever called Michelle Obama "Babe."
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Along the lines of "blank" rounds, I learned that, as I've been led to believe, that a blank round doesn't fire with an explosion/spark (just simply not expending a bullet.)  It simply causes the gun to click as if it was empty.

Bob

Oh yeah, I have tons of those bullets....... BANG BANG BANG.   Kids love them.

I learned that there is such a thing as rotary phone porn. So much dialing. So much waiting for the call to go through. So much repeating the number to the other caller... you just keep dialing, Al. Oh, yeah.

I learned that wearing some guy's girlfriend's voluminous white nightie will not keep off the hands of THE GUY FROM HARLEM!

Being a massuese was a bitch in the 70's what with all the unfolding and folding of your massage table.

That "we're wearing the same color" is probably not a good pick up line.

When I was in high school (a building which has since been torn down), two girls came into the main hall to use one of the pay phones. They were rotary phones, and one of them actually said to the other, something to the effect of "Wow, what will they think of next?" I think that was my very first facepalm.

I learned that a way to a woman's heart is a NY Strip Steak burned beyond recognition, and J&B or as Bill coined it perfectly "shitty scotch."

Now I'm wondering how many actual women The Guy From Harlem beat up before he honed his Strip Steak/Transvestite uncovering skills.
