What's everyone's experience of Rifftrax "live" events: are crowds getting bigger or smaller with time? I've only seen a couple in Syracuse NY, and the theater was only 1/3 full or so for each one.

1) Seems like most of the reports for Manos was that the screenings were more full than previously.

2) Why is this in the coming soon section? Should really be either in the live show or the general Rifftrax sections...

...it's coming soon to my movie theater. Did I do a bad thing? ;D

Yay! I learned to use the move topic command today!

Also I found that the first Rifftrax Live show ever was practically sold out, then every other one had lower attendance until Manos, which was nearly sold out again.

I remember the first one was pretty packed but at least in my neck of the woods it really wasn't in as many theaters.  The next few were playing at a TON of theaters so the crowds were thinned out. MANOS was the fullest I had seen since PLAN 9.

I think they're getting smaller. I'm a tall guy and I don't mean to be nasty but at Manos there was some fans brought into the theater in shoe-boxes. Nearly stepped on one. Talk about Terror of Tiny Town. If they riff that, there could be a riot. They ate a hell of a lot of popcorn though but I didn't ask them if they were full. Next time.

AMKR

Manos was completely packed @ the revere showcase cinemas.

I've gone to all of them except the Christmas Show in Syracuse. Plan 9 was nearly sold out. The next one I went to was when they got a second theater showing it, which could have thinned out the crowd.

Thanks, SV 2.0. I'll get my tickets well beforehand then!

This was only my 2nd time at this particular theater in Birmingham, AL. With Manos, it was their smallest auditorium and it was packed. This time, it was the largest out of any/all auditoriums. It was impossible to tell if there were more, less, or same people because everyone was so spread out.

Compound

It seemed down in Denver, but it was snowing rather heavily tonight.

KidFlash

I've been to two so far in Rochester, NY.

I'd say the Birdemic crowd was roughly about 100 people in one of the smaller theatres at the multiplex. It was loud and fun. There might have been 150 at Manos, though.

Saw the show in Ames, IA and the audience gets bigger each time. At the first one, I was one of six and the last two were full (but not packed). Seems to be a word of mouth thing. I usually hear people explaining the history of MST3K to the newbies they brought with them. Lots of "This was really fun! When's the next one?" outside the theater too. I wish they could plan ahead enough to announce the next one at the end of the show like they did for Manos though. I think that really helped keep it on the radar for non-diehards.
