Considering the shit material he's had to work with his whole career, I think the jury is still out on him.  I want him to be good because he seems like a cool guy who recognizes how goofy the whole Twilight thing is.  I'm very interested to see how he is in Cosmopolis.

As for this, at least it's not a remake of Lawrence of Arabia.  He's just a supporting character.

Yeah, you never know. There was a time I would have written off anything with Leonardo DiCaprio because all I knew him as was the "King of the World" guy. Now hearing his name might actually make me more interested in seeing a movie.

Also, I remember reading a comment he made about how uncomfortable the script of Breaking Dawn made him, and it really made me feel for him. Really, I had more sympathy for him in that moment than in this whole breakup mess.

Well Bell was a fascinating woman, the period is essentially the epilogue to The Great Game and Lawrence is a character that Ro-Pat could probably off; handsome and decent dude with a touch of natural nobility; he played that in Harry Potter.

I want to see this because it's about Bell, I don't think it'll be ruined due to who's playing Lawrence.

Plus it's a Herzog film.  That's a bit different than being Lawrence in a Bret Ratner movie.   So at least he's picking better projects.  Perhaps he was originally thinking "one for them, one for me" and then didn't realize that "them" would be an epic franchise that would steal years of his life.

Good lord. Do you think he'll be able to survive it?
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

So even if you do hate Pattison, it works out for everyone.

Maybe halfway through filming, Pattison will stab Herzog in the neck and take off his mask, revealing himself to be Klaus Kinski.

No... NO... this is just wrong. This is like having Chuck Norris play Miss Marple!

Those two sentences don't seem to go together very well.

My God; this just went from a film I'd probably see, to a film I absolutely MUST see. :)

Is this the one where Lawrence has to pull Stephenie Meyer's yacht across the Arabian Desert to reach the elusive land of artistic integrity?

How is it wrong to have Chuck Norris play Miss Marple.  I want to see that!  Chuck Norris in "Murder Most Ranger."
