Rifftrax - please stop with the transgender "jokes"

I would be curious to see specific examples of where the line ever seems to cross to hatefulness.

I recall a lot of Rifftrax lines where the joke is, "That person seems to exude a lot of qualities that the opposite gender usually exudes. We'll play with that and say he/she's really a she/he."  I remember a few riffs that state that Lana Wachowski had a sex change, but it never goes much further than addressing the issue.

There's the occasional, "Kevin wearing women's clothing is very unsettling." I've seen it, and yes. It is.

I don't recall any joke where it's more like, "That woman trapped in a man's body is a horrible person and should be ashamed of themselves."

Not every joke is an act of hate.

Was the main objection to the term, or the fact that he seems to put this in the context of the lesser of two evils? Or was it both? I think perhaps if he took the time to analyze this before he posted it, he might have reconsidered. It would seem he's saying that he objects to the concept of both these toys, and wouldn't want his kid playing with either one of them. In other words, the message is there's something wrong and offensive about a transvestite doll.

I gotta ask though, is it really "all tainted now" due to a handful of riffs and a couple tweets? If it is, that's a shame, but I respect your feelings about it. I don't pretend to know your personal connection with this, although it must be significant to elicit such a strong reaction.

I would say because he used the slur - twice.   But I'm sure most people here will just explain it away.
