Looking up Pirate's World on Wikipedia or reading its entry in http://lostparks.com reveals some interesting facts about this defunct amusement park, one of over fifty Florida attractions that closed due to the opening of Disney World.

Apparently even though there wasn't much to Pirate's World at first it became a magnet for early '70s acid rock shows.  Led Zeppelin once played there. I am thinking perhaps the park's owners were fans of certain fungus products that have enduring appeal to me, even if few others in this day and age.  I can imagine children and hippies mingling nicely there for the few short years it was around.

Obviously the Santa Claus and the Ice Cream Bunny film was some sort of advertisement for the park, though I have a hard time imagining what theatre would have played it, even then.  The park opened the same year that the film was dated, in 1967, and it closed in 1975.

Another park mentioned on the site above was the Ross Allen reptile farm. That name should ring a "Catching Trouble" bell.
