I was just curious to know if there would be any difference in watching AF rifftraxed with the HD-DVD version of the movie over the regular DVD? Has anyone tried this already? I imagine they should be the same but I was wrong with SW:Episode I when I apparently picked up a slightly modified version from what they riffed.

That's Pakky-Tested and approved. I watched in HD and it all syncs beautifully and looks awesome. :^)

Ah sweet thanks. I'll have my brother rent it on HD-DVD then as he's the one with the player. :D

I also noticed that the Wicker Man is on HD-DVD too.

I assumed that this would be the case, but it's good to know that it's actually been tried out successfully.

It's staggering how many Rifftrax movies are available in HD.  They really do churn out the lowest-common denominator titles when launching a new format.  Firewall, Fifth Element, Reign of Fire, xXx...

Hey, they put out the Last Waltz, too. Ok, that's really the only old, good, and explosion-free HD movie I can remember seeing, but still. The Last Waltz.

Yeah, there's some good titles that have been released in HD.  I have purchased ~8 HD-DVDs.  But the tripe outweighs the good by a margin of 10 to 1.

Who in their right mind would want an HD copy of the wicker man?

HD-DVDs are like a drug. Once you have the capacity to view DVDs in hi-def, you never want to see another low-def movie. It's just like how DVD players were compared to VHS back in the day. :^)
