So Mike Tweeted these:

QuoteMT@briansebby Yay! Will you be riffing on Manos with the @Manos_in_HD version?// No, not Ben Solovey's restoration, just a very nice print.

QuoteTo clarify, our upcoming Fathom show is unrelated to Ben Solovey's "Manos" restoration: check out his progress here. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1325482813/manos-the-restoration

@michaeljnelson Rest assured, regarding our upcoming Manos Fathom show, we have secured a very good theatrical print, not the crappy VHS copy.

Although I am a bit disappointed it's not going to be the ultimate restored edition, I can understand since they'd probably have to sign some revenue sharing deal since the restore guy is going to release his copy on blu-ray thus take in revenue.

Isn't it a little early to call the Ben Solovey transfer "ultimate restored edition"? I will wait to see what Rupert Munch has up his sleeve since he has the original film as well as 6 canisters of unseen scenes and outtakes and he is working with Hal Warren's son and proceeds will go to cast members too.

My only hope is that RiffTrax will release a studio version of this one.

I did not know there were two restorations, Rupert Munch & Ben Solovey going on at the same time. Maybe if they aren't using the Solovey one, they are using the Munch one.

That's right.  RIFFTRAX LIVE.  MANOS THE HANDS OF FATE. In theaters nationwide.  August 16th. Mark your calendars.
Be there. Aloha.
You're in good hands with MANOS.

or they just found a nice theatrical print. They probably aren't as rare or scarce as people think. Really, who goes looking for Manos prints anyway?

But the real question is who stores Manos prints

TheUnabeefer

Wait, so it's UNRELATED to the new restoration?!  But I thought they were going to have the riff as a commentary on the blu ray?!??!?!!?!?!

THIS WAS ALREADY CONFIRMED BY FANS HERE IN THE FORUM!!!!   **anger**

Man, that "red banner" is really annoying. I get that's what you are aiming for but it's very distracting.

It's so I can spot my posts easily. I guess I could make it thinner.

Better?

I keep thinking it should be red and white striped at and angle, like a barber pole.... maybe animated.

There is a setting to ignore banners.  I've been banner free for a year or two.

Wait.. was Manos actually released wide? Or even to multiple theaters? I thought it was only screened once for it's premier and was laughed at.

Also, of course I have to post this:
