Well Space Jam 2 might not be the crassest example of commercialism in kid's movies! Get ready to watch a movie about Peeps!

And yet we still aren't getting the gritty reboot of the story of Captain Horatio Magellan Crunch. An origin showing the creation of the Soggies would be captivating, I tell you.

Could you imagine movies based on Lego and Facebook actually being good? Next thing you'll tell me movies based on board games like Clue could actually be really entertaining! Get outta here...

Having said that, no, I don't have faith in a Peeps movie... yet. Put Lord & Miller or some other talented people behind it, and you'll have my interest.

Pak-Man

Yeah, I'm not automatically hating it until more information comes to light, but for every Clue, there is a Battleship.

The Lurker

ThoughI question the filmmaker's decision to put the Droogs from A Clockwork Orange into one of the crowd shots.

It is the definition of a mixed message that Pepe Lepew is too rapey for the movie, but the Droogs are okay. I highly suspect they'll get edited out by the time the movie is out.

Whether this ends up to be any good is to be seen. It's a blatant Harley Quinn ripoff, but there are worse things that they could be copying.
I'm just disappointed that they haven't made one of these villain movies an actual HORROR MOVIE. Wouldn't that make a whole lot more sense?!

I do appreciate how dark it gets with them roasting each other and making Smores. It does seem like a weird thing to have IN the actual movie. I first watched it without sound so I figured it was part of a commercial or something.

ScottotD

It's about a Disney character, they're never going the do a horror movie.  I'm stunned they did something as emotional and obviously a metaphor as the wings scene in Maleficent

Besides the both characters being thin women with coloured hair I don't see the Quinn comparison

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Gothy/punk-ish charismatic psychotic anti-villain with a flair for the eccentric perhaps?

ScottotD

I guess?  that's like saying 90% of white, cis, male leads are ripoffs of each other

Not my Ghostbusters

...my Ghostbusters have a gorilla and they drive around in a jalopy

By that logic we can pre-categorize the rest of Helena Bonham Carter's future filmography right here right now.
