The Lurker

In all fairness, Bale's Batman voice was most likely based on Frank Miller's Batman.  Honestly, I'd like to see a live action Batman that aims for the tone BTAS had.

On the other hand... "I'm vengeance"? I'm not sure that works for me.
Pattinson's voice is interesting. It doesn't seem like it will work because it's so different than the gruff voice we are used to from Batman. But it's also NOT going so gravelly that it sounds fake like Bale did.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is one joke in the movie about him trying out different voices.

Despite my issues with the movies (as in, how freely Batman murders in them), my favorite live action performance of Batman is still Keaton, and it has a lot to do with his calm controlled delivery, mostly whispering to draw you in. So this moment worked for me on a similar level.

Quotethe studio has tapped screenwriter Katie Dippold (Ghostbusters) to the script for the project
Oof, that is a baaaad idea! I may not have hated the Ghostbusters reboot like a lot of people, but it's script was it's biggest problem.
And no involvement from Guillermo DelToro? Pass!

The Lurker

I'm still hoping for GDT's take at some point.  Granted Ghostbusters relied a bit on improv, so if they can cut that back...

After a 4 yr battle with colon cancer, Chadwick Boseman has passed away.

One of these days I'd like to see a movie where it turns out the phrase "I don't believe in ghosts." is the spell to summon them.

Edward J Grug III

Pretty ballsy to remake a story Hitchcock adapted.
