[Cyrusso]

That might actually be good.

That might actually be good.

If that were the case, it wouldn't be in this thread ;P

So how long do you think it will be before Asylum makes CLOWNADO?

[Johnny Unusual]

When I heard Jordan Peele was making a horror movie, I wasn't sure what to expect.  This looks really good.

I love it when someone really funny gets to show off the dark and disturbing side too.

Apparently Kevin Murphy is going to be in a movie.

Here are more details:

Synopsis
A comedic and episodic look at how the Brain Institute helped 81 people with their brain skills–from the ordinary (intelligence and creativity) to the extraordinary (controlling the weather and bending space-time). But one man is determined to show that the head of the Brain Institute is a fraud and a charlatan.

I can't make head or tails of it from the trailer, other than it may just be way too "arty" for my taste:

So whatever Max Steel is, it has 0% on RT (out of 15 reviews, but still). Should I watch it for potential riff fodder? Does anyone know much about it?

It sounds spectacularly bad in the Midnight Screenings review:

Personally, if you want to do a superhero movie, I'd rather see you do Superman 2.

Goddammit! I want more Joe Dante movies so much, but why does it have to be a biopic glorifying a 2-bit businessman as if he's an "artist"?

I suspect Nicholson (writer) and Dante are probably both 'too close' to this, but on the other hand, Ed Wood is great, so it's not impossible it will be good, if they have a fun take on it.

Robert Vaughn has passed away. He was 83.

Probably best known for the original MAGNIFICENT SEVEN and TV's THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., MST3K fans may remember him from TEENAGE CAVEMAN and HANGER 18.

[Imrahil]

I remember him as Gelt from Battle Beyond the Stars.
