Baseball: The Thread

[MartyS (Gromit)]

And we're off!

Feels real good to hear Scott and Larry on the radio broadcasting a Phillies game.

Pence gets a home run.  Papelbon had a 123 inning.

I like the phillies in game 5 of the cardinals best!

Go STL again!

What now? What's happening?

Remember, I am still learning about certain things. Is this pre-season? Donde esta the schedule for the Rockies?

[MartyS (Gromit)]

Yes, today was the first day of preseason games.

Today: Rockies and D'backs tied 1-1 (they only go 10 innings in preseason games so ties are possible).

Oh, and: "preseason" = "spring training".

[anais.jude]

Ok there next game is on Monday....I will be at work during it though

Oh I am so excited., Hooray for Baseball!!!

[k1]

Oh hey there's a new thread!

(Someone should probably link to it on the other one.)

Also, we are still looking for teams for Roto & Razzball.  (Possibly Head to Head as well. I'd have to check.)

[anais.jude]

but if we link it to the other thread, it will become....MEGA THREAD

[MartyS (Gromit)]

I forgot Roy Oswalt was a one year deal last year and is a free agent now.   I guess he wants big money no one is willing to pay.  No wonder with his back hurting him all of last year, only winning 9 games, who's going to take the risk?   Someone will pick him up cheap mid season...

Blanton and Polanco looked healthy today.  Utley might not play his first game until next week.

[MartyS (Gromit)]

Old man Jamie Moyer has done pretty well in his 2 spring training games for the Rockies so far.  I'd love to see him make a comeback somewhere.

[Bob]

Let's win again Cardinals

[k1]

Fun with the Sox & Marlins game today.

Beckett plunked 2 batters and walked in a run, Ozzie got thrown out of the game and Bobby V waved at him as he was exiting which went over well...

Oh nice. I swear the rockies are gonna be a brand new team this year....the year....of the ROCK(ies)

[mrbasehart]

Huh.  Looks like my MLB tv subscription was automatically re-upped.  Guess I'll have to endure a whole season again... *sigh*

[MartyS (Gromit)]

Yeah, I don't remember anything last year about it automatically renewing.  I was debating if I wanted the whole package or just the audio this year, then it auto-renewed.

At least they now give you the at-bat app for free with the package, you download the free "lite" version and when you log in it becomes the standard version.

[mrbasehart]

I'd really like to be able to have MLB on my PS3, but they don't consider us EU users for that kind of thing.
