Anyone else have trouble reauthering this movie?

[Smith Dr John Smith]

I have tried to reauther it three times but every time opening the audio file of the movie's soundtrack has crashed Audacity and I have no idea why.  If you can help me,thanks.

It's been a few years, so I can't remember.  I think it went pretty smoothly for me.

What version of Audacity are you using?

How are you importing the audio?  You can either drag and drop the file into the Audacity window or go File > Import > Audio.  Try it both ways and see what happens.

What format is the movie audio in when you try to import?  Is it in the original AC3 format it came on the disc?  If so, you could try using PX3Convert to convert to WAV format and importing that way.

I have version 1.2.6.

I am importing it and I have tried it with both MP3 and AC3 format sound and I had the same problem with both.  I will try your ideas, thanks for the help.

1.2.6?  You should upgrade to 1.3.  I don't think 1.2.6 allows direct import or export of AC3 files, or autoducking.

I'll see if I can find it.  Thanks a lot.
