Agree with Trekker.  Since the MST3K days, I've always loved when a film gets to the guys and they unleash their frustration.  I thought each time they lashed out was hilarious....Bill's "do something" monologue was a highlight of the whole riff for me.

Agreed, it plateaued in Episode 1 with glorious results.

Not quite as good as the first two, but better than Eclipse. And since I gave all three of those tens (in retrospect I'd lower Eclipse to 9), I gave this one a ten too.

As for the movie itself, about 3/4 SOMETHING HAPPEN! and 1/4 HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!

Could have done without all the "trying to fart" jokes though.

EDIT: Also, kinda hate to say this, but the last quarter or so of this was kind of interesting (while still disgusting and slow.)

eegah

This was the easiest of the four to get through, for some reason. Pretty good riffing.

I don't give 10's.  My all time favorite, ID4 was only a nine.

I think ID4 will remain my favorite despite the fact that, for gut busting funny moments...  this one gets a 10.  I disagree that it was too "complainy".  The complaints were hilarious!

Artie

Great stuff, even better with alcohol.... gave it a 9

I didn't mind the complaining about nothing happening, but I REALLY hope they don't recycle the "DO SOMETHING" riffs when Deathly hallows part 1 riff comes up.

I don't give 10's.

Then that means your 9s are, in effect, 10s, so nothing is accomplished other than you only have 9 numbers to work with than the 10 numbers the rest of us have.  I'm not trying to be a bitch, it's just such an odd thing to say.

I need to be more clear in my writing.  I should say, "I've never given an Rifftrax a 10 before, because I'm a tough critic."  I gave this one a 10 because I think it deserved it (just as my all-time fav deserved its 9 (some jokes in ID4 fell flat)) not because I'm a total fanboy.

I will spend days of my life putting together amateurish vides to the intro segments of these things, so, yes I'm a total fanboy.  But I like to at least think that I'm an honest critic.

Droppo

By saying "I never understood it"...I meant I never agreed with it.

I understand the concept behind the criticism.  I just find that Mike, Bill and Kevin have perfected the art of complaining about bad movies in very funny ways.

Nothing against anyone who disagrees.  Just my take.

The credits make this an automatic 10.  It's like they were waiting the whole movie for those guys to show up and then unleashed the gay cracken when they finally did (which is good because I was wondering what the hell Part 2 was going to be about after this).

losingmydignity

Yeah, the end credits were fantastic. I loved that they did something all the way to the end.

This one was uneven for me but the last half was great. Just enough to keep this at a 9.

Thought there were too many crude/fart jokes. I few were actually hilarious in a sick way but some just....bleh. I hope it isn't a trend. Two or three a riff is enough.

In addition, for me, it is irritating to hear others complain about something they can do something about: the guys can choose to not riff the film if they find it so oppressive that they can't come up with something clever to say throughout.

Except when they do find a suitable target to riff on and it is not a mainstream flick no one buys it.  That being said while this one wasn't my favorite of the 4 they have done so far I still enjoyed it.

I've noticed that a lot of folks automatically give Riffs either a 9 or 10.  I'm not that generous.  It has to really be a 10 for me before I give it a ten.  I gave this one a 7.  For my grade scale that's pretty good.  I actually liked this one, maybe it's because I was expecting a huge disaster.  It made an unwatchable (and aren't all Twilight movies) watchable.

8/10. Satisfyingly good, but not without flaws. Personally I don't like the rant about venom in the final scene (since there are much better things to make fun of, namely the corpse-washing, reanimation sequence and Avatar "morning wood" shot.) Generally I dislike overly long jokes unless there really IS nothing going on on-screen. Therefore I find the "super gay Volturi voices" credits absolutely hilarious. I also love how they cheered when the Volturi finally showed up. Watching Micheal Sheen is one of my only (albeit guilty) pleasure in the Twilight movies.

The other posters found this riff to be overly negative. While I agree that a negative rant in a riff of a bad movie only make it worse, I think the case here is FAR less serious than their Star Wars Prequel riffs. The rifftrax of SW:EP3 is still one of my least favorite riff of all time. They really should keep in mind that we already know a film was bad, you don't have to remind us how much we should hate it. This only stirs up negative emotions which is exactly what a rifftrax should NOT do. However I think it's not really that bad in Breaking Dawn, where they only ranted about 3 or 4 times. The SW prequel riffs are about 80% Lucas bashing and 20% actual jokes, some of their weakest work ever.
