Hmm... Can't help thinking this should be relegated to a non-Captain America thread.

Allow me to get this back on topic.

:D

Actually, if we were talking cinematography, this would be on topic. Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that most of these Paramount/Dreamworks movies (Star Trek, Transformers 3, Thor, Captain America) have these bright blue lighting/color schemes; to be frank I think most of them have rather ugly cinematography. Too goddamn bright (and no I'm not even referring to the LF [lens flare]). They look like they're codirected by directors of military & toothpaste commercials. I could swear all of these movies have sequences of bright blue light being shot off into the distance.

But I think I'll be getting this Rifftrax. Initially I was weary..."Another brightly lit Paramount superhero movie that won't work with the Riffplayer"... but that Crispin Glover joke on the Youtube sample video cracked me up.

Is there any Kashi Go Lean Crunch in Captain America?

I just rewatched Half In the Bag's Captain America review, and now I'm looking forward to the scene of Tommy Lee Jones eating steak that pissed off Stoklasa so much.

Any issues with the RiffTrax main page should be directed to support@rifftrax.com Attempts to engage with me directly about such matters will result in ridicule.

I'm sure I'll love the riff, but I gotta tell ya', I absolutely cannot STAND the new poster designs.

I know what you're trying to go for, and I appreciate the effort, but I'm sorry - these things really need the return of Mike/Kevin/Bill bobbleheads.

It just doesn't look like a proper RiffTrax product the way it is now (even with DisembAudio).

Please guys - reconsider this plan.

I noticed the whole blue trip as well, especially in Thor. There's even a point in Thor where there's this gnarly blue flare that's really weird and distracting, almost as if it's a screwed up video artifact.

I haven't seen Super 8, I'm wondering if that went on a blue trip too. I think James Cameron overuses blue, too, but it's more night-blue than the bright blue I'm complaining about (though I read he gave Aliens a bluer tint for the Blu-ray transfer). I much prefer the cinematography of Chris Nolan films & especially David Fincher's.

All these recent Rifftrax movies have given me nostalgia for crappy 90's action movies. They used warmer light tones, like the reflection of a setting sun.

(Obviously, one major difference between me and the "real" Sutter Cane is that blue is not my favorite color. In the Mouth of Madness has a great gag involving the color blue.)

Have you guys seen the "orange and cyan" rant about cinematography/color timing these days? I can't find it here, but it's perhaps what you're all getting at.

EDIT:

Sorry, "orange and teal"

You've NAILED it! Thank you! Teal is what it is. Now I can stop saying "bright blue" like an idiot.

Much appreciated, Sir Imrahil.  :)

RIFFTRAX TEASER! Two words to keep in mind: 1) Ghost 2) House

Hmmm. Lots of candidates there, including a film with Mika in it.

Nope. Implying...

Micah shows up in this one too. And they really weren't fond of the first film.
But "A haunted house" covers a huge number of films, from Amityville Horror to The Uninvited, so it could be anything.
