Well, we'll get the inevitable Rifftrax treatment out of the deal... so there is at least some silver lining.

Ehn.  It keeps Michael Bay away from any other films.  I'd rather have another Transformers film than another one like Pearl Harbour.

Sadly, it appears he will be doing another film before shooting starts on Trannie4.  The closest thing to "good" about any of this is Shia (Where's) LaBeouf has said he won't do any more.

Absolutely. This is fantastic news if you ask me. This is what RiffTrax was made for. I can only hope the next installment includes a fresh crop of once-respected actors who have resigned themselves to Michael Bay's Cash for Integrity Exchange.

Maybe Congress should just pass a law allowing Michael Bay to print his own currency and he can skip the moviemaking dreck and spare us all a lot of pain.

The sad thing is that, unlike Twilight which is limited by the books Stephanie Meyer wrote, there is no preset limit to the number of Transformers movies to be released.  It could go the way of Jason Voorhies and get up to 11, followed by a reboot.

This needs to stop. I tolerated the first 3 well, but dammit someone else needs to "write" and direct this time. Do NOT bring back Bay. At this point it's like they're just trying to milk the franchise for all it's worth.

As a die-hard RiffTrax fan, I really don't see what the fuck everyone is complaining about. This franchise is a riffing goldmine. This is the Kashagan super-oil field of riffing, capable of sustainable comedy for the next fifty years. And don't tell me about things getting stale. In my opinion, the riffing has only gotten better with each subsequent pile of crap.

The sheep get to pump out their hard-earned cash to eat popcorn and watch giant robot movies, Bay gets to live in a platinum castle and do blow off ten different underwear models every night, and we get guaranteed-gold evisceration courtesy of Team RiffTrax.

It's win-win-win.

I'm fairly certain the original cartoons remain untouched ,and nobody put a gun to these actor's heads and forced them to be in the movie. They have freewill. Face it, they whored-out for cash. Don't blame the movies, blame the choices the actors made.
