Region Free Blu Ray

[CombatCraig]

So I bought my first ever region free blu-ray - the Harry Potter Box Set http://www.amazon.co.uk/Harry-Potter-Complete-Collection-Blu-ray/dp/B00543RC0Y/ref=pd_ts_zgc_d_h__383380011_1_i?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&pf_rd_p=214710027&pf_rd_s=right-5&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=468294&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=15G6ME8HCFTTMX8SHG8H

Since it is region free which RiffTrax do I use - NTSC or PAL (since it's from the UK)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all blu rays would use the NTSC version. I think I remember that from another forum thread.

I have the French edition of the Harry Potter bluray set, which I believe is the general European distribution (The Sorcerer/Philosopher's Stone has about 9 different spoken languages), and I just re-mastered this film using the NTSC riff.  I haven't watched it all the way through yet, but I jumped around the disc a bit and every scene I previewed seemed to sync correctly.

Like RoninFox said, I could be wrong, but I get the impression that blurays actually use an international standard that, duration-wise, aligns with NTSC.
