Just wanted to say hi....

I am a fan of Val Kilmer, and I also like Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr....Yes I am into very odd people.

I also like reading and Classical music. Plus I like Van Gogh and Japanese art (Hiroshige).

You don't think I came off as too stuffy do you?

One thing Spartan is a David Mamet film so there is a lot of swearing.

Man I don't believe it.  I just had to go back to IMBD and find out for sure.  It's official, I'm an idiot.  I was completely convinced that Val Kilmer portrayed Doc Holiday in both Tombstone and Wyatt Earp.  Now to my shock and dismay I discover my error.  It was in fact Dennis quaid that was Doc for Wyatt Earp and not Kilmer.  :-[ :-[ :-[

You guys probably already know this but Downey Jr. is going to be playing Tony Stark aka Iron Man in Jon Favreau's film adaptation. Personally I think he's an awesome choice for the role - probably the best, actually. I've seen it called "inspired casting" on other websites, but I'm not sure if that's said with tongue planted firmly in cheek or not.

Also he was GREAT in a Scanner Darkly.

Top Secret is one of my favourite movies.

How do we know he's not Mel Torme?

Moose

I've heard bad things about Singing Detective.

Downey Jr is one of those guys that can usually put in a good performance despite everything, though.
But having said that, he never really leapt out and grabbed my attention. I guess I could say he's good for supporting roles, but can't really be a lead in my book.

I did like Kilmer's Morrison in The Doors, but he was too smug to be Batman.
Top Gun, baby!

PS - Wah! IMDb's gone weird!

PPS - Hello.
