I still think the SHORTS are the best riffed items.

However, to me the top riifs will have to be

1) Star Wars Holiday Special >:D
2) The Room :speechless:
3) Birdemic :gouge:

Just my humble opinion

;D  Seems we have the exact opposite taste in RiffTrax.  ;D

Those three feature RiffTrax are ones I will never watch again, and barely made it through the first time.  And, compared to the best of the feature film riffings, I think the shorts are quite weak.  I actually accepted my opinion wouldn't change (i.e. the type of riffs on shorts wouldn't coincide with what I like enough to re-watch them by choice) and stopped buying them with #150 'Feelings: I'm Feeling Alone'.

Agreed.

Birdemic and The Room are hilarious. Your completely subjective opinions about them are wrong.

I agree with LucasM for the most part.  I've gotten so sick of the "MST-Like" movies, the really bad old movies in other words, that I've actually taken to skipping the purchasing of riffs for the first time since I discovered this site 4 years ago.  Of Lucas' list:

But, back to 'status quo', if you'll note, the last ten films they've riffed have been:
109 Birdemic Shock and Terror
110 Highlander
111 Karate Kid 3
112 Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan
113 Crater Lake Monster
114 The Devil's Hand
115 X-Men- The Last Stand
116 The Galaxy Invader
117 Abraxas
118 THOR

I only purchased Highlander, KK3, ST 2, X-Men 3, and Thor.  The first three show it's not a problem with "old" movies, it's a problem with the cheaply made, low budget nightmares of the kind they used to do on MST that I'm totally sick of.

However, an odd thing happened this week.  I was fiending for a new feature riff and I was on the site anyway buying a bunch of shorts so I said "to Hell with it" and bought Laser Mission.  IT WAS AWESOME.  Most I've laughed at a riff this year.  So maybe all I needed was a 6 month break from the old movies, maybe I was just burnt out on them, I don't know.  Great thing about this site is they're always there if you do want to get them later.

Anyway, REALLY looking forward to HP6 despite the fact it's the first movie in the franchise I skipped because I knew it was gonna suck.  So my first viewing of it will be it being riffed.

I will admit, some shorts are weak.

But I challenge anyone not to laugh OUT LOUD at "Making Sense With Sentences"

I have a strong bladder, but I almost peed myself. :o

Just to keep the topic on some sort of track, I am looking forward to "The Half Blood Prince". It was the most boring and serious HP up to that time and is full to bursting with make-funables

Given my rather extensive contribution to the "Grammar - Who Cares?" thread, I suspect the next time I'm buying a riff (i.e. on 10/18, when The Half-Bloody A$$hole is released), I'll probably pick that short up.

And, yeah, the HP should be prime for riffing: I know I've seen it at least twice, but I have to struggle to remember any of it (except for the obvious).  Luckily I've been buying the HP films when the used copies get cheap (i.e. ~$1+shipping) on Amazon, so I'm all set to go when the riff comes down.  [Wasn't that a Rolling Stones song?  "When the Riff Comes Down"?]

I don't buy many individual shorts, but a newer one I quite enjoyed was for the bizarre pre-Disney short animation "Frozen Frolics". http://www.rifftrax.com/shorts/aesops-sound-fables-frozen-frolics. It was refreshing new territory for them, may I recommend you buy that with your HP?

I haven't read the books, am I missing out on one of Rowlings' surprise twists?
