And let's face it, the 20th Century Fox Fanfare is almost as much a part of the music of Star Wars as the Main Title theme itself.
The fanfare even appears on the soundrack CD's.  At least, I know it was on the Phantom Mennace soundtrack.

It was on both my record and CD soundtrack for episode 4.

I have the original LP for A New Hope and I'm pretty sure it's not on that.  I thought they weren't added to the soundtracks until the Special Edition release.

Besides which, if you get rid of the grain using digital scrubbers, you lose a lot of other incidental detail and the people come out looking like wax mannequins.

Exactly. The latest Predator Blu is a fine example of that:

That's correct.  I usually skip it; I'm not listening to the movie, I don't need Alfred Newman to tell me that it's a 20th Century Fox release.

What, me compose?

Still, it's just, like, 20 seconds out of the whole soundtrack.  What, are you in a hurry when you listen to them?

If i hear imperial march in the next 15 seconds someone is gonna die

It's kind of a moot point seeing as Lucas is replacing the fanfare with this:

VIVA IL ESORDIO DEL DIABETE ADULTO DUCE!!!

Doctor Who?

I wish i could find the interview but i did read one where John Williams said that he considers the Fox fanfare to be part of the soundtrack and that is why it is on the CD.

Here's a question: Has the DGA ever weighed in on Lucas altering The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi, neither of which he directed?
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Yeah, that is an interesting point.  ROTJ was directed by a non DGA memeber too.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

There's a lot of people who keep telling fans who hate the changes to get
a life, and I want to respond by asking "Would you be saying the same if
Picasso decided to make changes to Guernica by pissing all over it?"

And i would say that is a comparison that just doesnt work lol.  Even at the HEIGHT of my star wars fandom when i buying books with cross sections of AT-ATs and what have you i NEVER thought it was art.

shitty art is still art and star wars still is not.  At least not in my book.
