And I still fail to see how Ewan Macgregor will eventually turn into
Obi-Wan, since he let his "good friend" burn to fucking death as he reminisced to Luke
how Anakin was "A good friend". Do you really think if you let your friend burn to death who
just murdered his wife and tried to kill you you'd ever be thinking about him in that light
again?!

Because it would have made so much more sense for him to tell Luke, who had never known his father, "Yeah, your dad killed a bunch of Jedi, including children, and he killed your mother, and a bunch of Sand People, all in cold blood."

What's this hatred really about?  Did George Lucas rape your mother or something?  I mean, these are just movies.  No one says you have to like them.  Just about everyone says they are of inferior quality to the original trilogy.  I like them, but I'm not as emotionally invested in my enjoyment of them as you seem to be in your dislike of them.

You know Im, just because you have Stormtroopers and some interior sets of a Blockade
runner doesn't make it Star Wars, without a great story, it makes it a hollow visual
representation of that.

I'm a Star Wars fan, but I wouldn't call ANY of the movies a great story. The original trilogy has great aspects, to be sure, but the stories are really basic and primal. Now, I would argue this simplicity is part of the reason they resonate so well, but there's very little original about any of the stories.

Gunflyer, seriously, there is no rational reason any movie, or anyone's opinion thereof, should give you that violent of an emotional reaction.  Lots of people love movies that I can't stand, and lots of people can't stand movies that I enjoy.  Like anything on which you hold an opinion, you can give as many reasons as you like on why you hold that opinion, but it's not likely to change anyone else's mind on the subject.  So you can either accept that fact and move on with your life or explode with rage anytime someone expresses an opinion different than your own.
