Technical problems that hopefully get fixed on the DVD

First off: Awesome show! Definitely the best so far. This will be one of the classic rifftrax (live or not).

That said, I and others noticed issues that I thought I'd mention here in case the rifftrax folks weren't aware (you probably are, but just in case):

1 - The short volume was way too low.
2 - Either the movie volume was too high in spots or the riffers were too low. Kevin was especially hard to hear at times.

I'm sure that the momentary video glitches won't be an issue. BUT, FOR GOD'S SAKE, KEEP THE 30 SECONDS OF THE CAMERA FOCUSED ON BILL STARING BLANKLY WHILE KEVIN IS TALKING. Seriously, that kind of cracked me up. At first, I was uncomfortable for him, but then it became funny.

Agreed, the camera holding on Bill while Kevin talked was great, the broascasting glitches were a bit annoying and there were a lot of volume issues early on.  It all ironed out by the time the feature came around but there did seem to be a great number of glitches in this event.  And of course the line-flub Kevin made where he switched some words around was awesome.

It's amazing how few line flubs that Rifftrax Live has compared to Cinematic Titanic, especially considering that CT gets to practice at live events before the live DVD filming.

I always love when you get to actually see them when that happens.  There was another really small moment where Jack is standing on a rock, and (I think) Kevin's line fell absolutely dead, and you get to see Bill and Mike holding back their laughs of schadenfreude.

Not sure how much of the show's sound was our theater and the show's.  We didn't get sound before the show or even about 2mins into it (and the lights were maybe another 5mins).  But yeah, we def had some volume issues... but not enough to detract from anyone's enjoyment.  The great part was, seconds before the sound came on, someone yelled out "OK!  Who here can read lips!?!"   :D

There's even a moment in the Reefer Madness Live event where Kevin starts saying a riff about two seconds or so before he's "supposed to."  LOL  You see him start to say it, the sidebar is slid in at this point, then he stops, a beat passes, and then the event in the film starts that's supposed to generate the riff and he says it again.  IIRC This happens during the Aesop cartoon short.

A lot of that live event stuff does add a lot of charm to the whole thing and, yeah, I noticed a couple of Riffs that fell dead mostly because they were too esoteric.

You just reminded me of another moment where (I think) Bill says a line too early while everyone was on the ship at the end.  It was like a non-sequitur about the kid.  Then the girl asks something about the boy, and Bill says "The kid! The kid!" (trying to save his previous line).  It was such a small thing, but I can't help reveling a bit in those little "truly live" moments.

And somehow Mike sails by without a scratch.  We'll find your flaws, Mike!  Some day!!!  Bill.  Kevin.  We will continue to adore yours.
