They just announced Neo Geo support on the virtual console for Wii. One more point for Nintendo! :^)

Neo Geo. That was the system us poor kids drooled over. 256 meg games hundreds of dollars for a single cartridge. I wonder how many points it is going to take to download each game.

I say get an Atari Jaguar. I mean how can you go wrong with the first, true 64-bit console system? I bet it'll beat the pants off the Neo-Geo hands down too. You should look into this latest, greatest technology from... wait... oh... Sorry, wrong decade. Go with an Xbox 360 I guess. Hard drives are good right? or something like that anyway. :P

The problem is, because they didn't make the hard drive mandatory like it is with the regular XBox, developers can't safely design games with it in mind, thus losing the advantage a hard drive gives you.  :(

Yeah, the outcome was me getting a Samsung 40 inch for about $1500. Then I found it on sale at the same place yesterday for $1200. Ah well. :^)

Experiencing a serious case of "buyer's Wii-gret."  I enjoyed Wii Sports for a few weeks, and picked up Wario Ware, but since then...

...well, I haven't turned it on in wiiks. Not since the voting channel showed up.

The Wii's game lineup is pretty weak at this point.  Everything is either a glorified collection of minigames (Wii Sports, Wii Play) or a port of something that has motion control shoehorned in there (Call of Duty, the upcoming Mortal Kombat and Scarface games...heck, even Zelda is a Gamecube game with taped-on motion control) and is worse than the "regular" versions.  The lineup of titles coming out over the next few months is pretty slim, so I'd advise anyone strapped for cash to just wait.  The games will come...but we're not at that point yet.

The 360 is FAN-TAS-TIC.  The console is just hitting its stride now and there are a TON of excellent games out in plenty of genres.  Gears of War, Viva Pinata, Oblivion, Dead Rising...heck, I've been playing Crackdown more than any game in the last several years.  The online Arcade needs some work, but with recent firings of "the right people" they seem to be off on a better path now, with Alien Hominid out this week and Worms HD coming next week.  Honestly though, the Arcade is secondary when there are so many good full titles to concentrate on.

The PS3 I won't say much about.  I really can't justify that $500-$600 price tag for an unproven console.  I know that "the games are coming" eventually, but considering most of them will also be on the 360 - and look just as good - I don't see any reason to grab one.  I'd like to have a Blu-Ray player (to compliment the 360's HD-DVD add-on I have, which is great) but I'm not going to spend that much just to get the ability to play movies I can already get on DVD.
Most wanted: 1. The Wizard (1989) 2. Karate Kid III (1989) 3. Rocky IV (1985) 4. Rocky V (1990) 5. Masters of the Universe (1987) 6. Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) 7. No Holds Barred (1989) 8. Total Recall (1990) 09. Garbage Pail Kids (1987) 10. The Running Man (1987)

Damn it all,

If someone can all of the falling ill renounce ps3 forever

is any of the following coming out for 360

guilty gear (a sequal of any kind)

virtua fighter 5

tekken 6

MGS4

if those 4 games were to come out on the 360 i would buy one instead.

MrTorso

Virtua Fighter 5 hits the 360 in August. Rumors abound for Tekken and Metal Gear Solid as well for the 360.

Well, here's Uncle Scott's  opinion:

I have a 360. I LOVE IT. I don't even have XBOX live and I love it. I've got Call of Duty 3, Dead Rising (The most overrated game in history), Gears of War, Just Cause (AweXome), and The Outfit. All great,  except dead rising.

WII: Played it, and it's crap. The controller's to complicated for an old fart like me, even though I'm 13, the games for it are boring,  and it just doesn't wipe the bad taste out of my mouth from the Gamecube (The worst console. Ever.)

PS3: GOD, I WISH I WERE RICH. Just don't have enough money to buy it. Resistance looks awesome, and so does the new Ratchet and Clank coming out. Just, once again, not enough money from the S-Man over here.

So, that's my opinion.
I'm Sparticus!

im gonna have to disagree with just about everything on there.  I watched my grandmother beat the tar out of my cousin at tennis.  Grandma barely knows what the games ARE let alone how to work the controller usually.  And she wasnt swinging randomly either, she was actively playing.  The games are party games, the more people you have the more fun you have.  And gamecube is still head and shoulders better than sega cd and whole slew of failed systems.

GameCube is the worst ever?  Nah, now Virtual Boy was far worst.  Heck, the whole 32X Sega CD combo was lower then that.  The Sega CD did have a few very nice games for it (Lunar, Sonic CD), but 32X shouldn't have came about. GameCube was a great system that didn't get the 3rd party support as the DVD power counterparts.  To each his own I guess.
