Yes, the short that brought the house down at RiffTrax Live, answering questions about paper that nobody was asking, is now available in a brand-new studio version! By now the sick, sad tale of young Willie and his demented belief in a talking paper bag, whom he names Mr. Paperbag (proving that "crazy" and "creative" don't always go hand in hand) is the stuff of legend. Their nightly adventures to the forests of the American South will remind you of Bonnie & Clyde, if you don't know anything about Bonnie & Clyde and assume that they mostly talked about paper. Willie learns a lot from his creepy little friend, primarily about the meaning of loss as Mr. Paperbag crumples and dies before his very eyes! (no, seriously, that happens!)

Mike, Kevin and Bill have never had a conversation with a paper bag, unless you count the ones containing giant bottles of MD 20/20.

No Springy the Spring Sprite jokes? Really? How do you miss something like this?

Good short, otherwise.

Yeah, same voice, sorta same premise (but with paper!)... I guess it's a "RiffTrax is not MST3K 2.0" thing?

They've done the "no springs" line in other riffs, so I don't think that's the reason.

The new high res mp4 files are great, now I don't have to convert the mpg myself for my appleTV.

So... Grasses?             ಠ_ಠ

(I was waiting for this one too though... thanks!)

Anyone get an error when trying to download this?

jjlava

I only got 270 bytes then the download would quit. I kept trying and eventually got the entire file.

Any download I tired kept sending to me some-sort-of script error page or something, I tried other files to see if it was just the bag short that was acting up or a wider problem.  Tried two different browsers, kept getting an error page, but it seems to have been 'fixed" as everything seems to be working fine now.

torgosPizza

That was an Amazon S3 issue that got fixed in around 15 minutes.

The part where we're shown the different steps to how wood is turned into paper just about gave me a heart attack from laughing so much. I didn't even hear what the guys were saying because that part of the video in and of itself was so funny.

I won't go into specifics, lest I spoil it, but I will say that it makes me REALLY wish these same producers made a similar short explaining how cows become hamburger.
I used to have an image here, but Photobucket got cheap about remote linking. I guess I'll have to think of something witty instead. Which I will. Later. It caught me by surprise, in all honesty. It's hard to be clever on command, I mean, YOU try it. Be funny: NOW! See, tough. So, gimme a bit, 'kay?
